tonight i will be entering into hostile catholic territory with two of my fellow lutheran seminarians. we'll bring holy water and catechize all who McCross our paths.

El Norte - We don't like "your kind" do yourself a favor and stay home.  Brush up on that bible of yours... or if you can somehow explain to me why "your kind" refuses to accept transubstantiation, I might consider allowing your presence.

I have also received many emails and concerned phone calls about the recent CNN story regarding the Russian arms dealer who was captured.  That was not me!  The cops will never catch me, and if they get close I am fleeing to a non-extradition country that offers internet access so I can continue to make fun of Wonka.

Unfortunately I am unable to make the game tonight.  Goodluck to the Tomcats.  Hopefully they will TCOB and another home game will be awarded!

From UST web site:
A total of 200 tickets remain and will go back on sale Friday at 9 a.m. in room 220 of O'Shaughnessy Hall in the athetic department office. If any are still left later in the afternoon they will go on sale at the Schoenecker lobby at 5 p.m. There's a limit of four adult and four student tickets.

That's a pretty strong showing considering the nearest school is 250+ miles away.  So I'm sure the games should be close to a sellout come game time.  Although not directly their fault, UST did their best to discourage walk up ticket sales on Thursday.  2/3 of the O'Shaughnessy parking lot was roped off for an admissions "event" that was going on yesterday.  As a result, there was quite a bit of jockeying for spots in the parking lot.  I was almost ready to do a 411 for Mig Ak47.     I'm sure the admissions activity was scheduled long before the selection of UST as a "regional" basketball game site.  Just seemed like bad timing on the part of the college.

Point travels fairly well, but the women are hosting, so that may take away from some of the faithful driving the 3+ hours.

Mig – yesterday the parking lot at UST was a mess.  At one point I thought I was gonna have to talk to a friend, who would talk to another friend, until they got word to you in some seedy bar on the east side of St. Paul where you conduct your black market transactions.  Mig they'd quietly rasp – "Drake needs 4 tickets to the UST–BV game tomorrow night.  Can you hook a fellow Bolshevik up?" 

Fortunately, campus security said they'd watch my car for me & I was able to run in and get my tickets. (Actually, they said I had 15 minutes max to park in the spot I was in.) 

I think Wonka wanted to talk to you about ordering an extra set of man parts.  8)

El Norte - I will see you there tomorrow.  Unfortunately my custom build, authentic, Bill Walton Jersey from his days with the Blazers will not have arrived yet in the mail.  I am very depressed about this, as I had hoped to break it out tomorrow   Also, transubstantiation... I just like to throw around buzz phrases and pretend like I know what I am talking about.

Drake - Ah... so it was illicit ticket brokering you were in need of.  It all makes sense now.  That seedy bar I do bidness in is called "The Liffy" for future reference.  Do yourself a favor and keep your interaction with UST Safety and Security to a minimum.  They are an unsavory and insipid bunch.  Let's just say that we have a confilcting viewpoint on a what an acceptable/legal parking spot is.  Apparently they didn't get the memo that we are puting new cover sheets on all our TPS Reports, and that the Mig gets to do what he wants.

I've got it working.  I clicked on the announcers name and suddenly it started, although I doubt that was it.  Score now 17-14.   Game being called tight.  McCoy picked up 2 quick ones.
