The Pulley League is played at the Salvation Army in St. Paul on 7th a few blocks west of the Xcel.

Some good games tonight including Ralph Sampson III's Minnesota competitive debut.

Definitely the best free entertainment in the cities.  Schedule

Is Rich Melzer playing in the league this summer?

Who are some other names in the league?

MiacLostProphet

Thanks A0, Matt Jannings from Northeastern in Boston is rumored to be coming back to play in the league but not for sure on that.  Also the point guard Brady Larson backed up in his college days just returned from overseas and is playing in the league.

VOJ - A chance to partake in some free caf food was too much to pass up. I'll be going back in July to improve upon my 1-0 coaching record against Hanson...which is almost as impressive as CDR's unbeaten 1v1 record for his ENTIRE LIFE.

Wittwer is currently in Germany trying out for its professional league. Sounds like he'll plan to stay if he makes either of the top two divisions, but the third class would make for a tough decision since it pays jack.

In unrelated news, Wonka will be part of a prestigious round table discussion taking place over the next two days in the Cities. Bill Plaschke, Rod Strickland, Chili, Antonio Freeman and a few ESPN writers are just a few of the names that will be at the meeting. Anyone else think I'll be in a little over my head? :o
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Chasing MILFs since '82...

highlights from Ralph's debut

Melzer plays on Sampson's team with Nolen and Colton Iverson.

All of the gophers play in the summer league on various teams.  Dan Coleman plays with Khalid on El Amin's fish house squad also featuring everybody's favorite Auggie, LOP (who had a nice little 2nd half last night).  Doesn't look at this point that anybody from the Wolves are going to be playing as Trenton Hassell had the previous years.

SUMMIT!!!!!

not like they need another player, but a lil birdie told me SJU is getting a soph transfer, capable of playing 1 or 2, rather similar player to M Ohme

what have you heard about this VJ?
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

maniac - I will chime in as I can add some information.  The transfer you speak about is Landon Stanfield, a 6-1 guard originally from Brainerd, who spent last season at Coe College in Iowa.  I think he will be a nice addition to an already deep Johnnies recruiting class.

Ok, I'll play the Birdie game.  From the avian department of rumor mongering & scuttlebutt, it seems Coach "LA" Whitmore might be getting in an athletic D2 transfer to shore up the troops at Snelling & Hewitt.

I'll provide more details once I get a better read on the bird droppings around Hutton fieldhouse.   ;)

Hope everyone's having a good summer so far.

Someone saw Wittwer playing in the Star of the North games this weekend, so he must not be in Germany.

He just got back, actually. Didn't draw interest from the top clubs, but the second and third tier squads were fairly interested. He's currently weighing his options.

Old UST guys took second, Winona State took third and Wittwer and the Bethel guys finished fourth. Lawrence Mackenzie and Johnnie Gilbert won the title.

BTW - Gilbert owns me. Knocked me out of SotN each of the last two years.

Drake - If I told you that I knew who this "athletic D2 transfer to shore up the troops at Snelling & Hewitt" was, would you laugh ;)  I hope the Pipers land this young man because I think he could really help them have success next season.

Not much else to report.....
