Best running backs in the WIAC:

#1)  Moriarty
#2) Anderson
#3) Beaver
#4) Genslinger
#5) Hall

BoBo

When the all-conference team is announced, Beaver will be the only unanimous selection at RB, Moriarty also 1st team (not unanimous) - then the others.  Just my guess.

Eat your hearts out.  We'll take Beaver over any of those guys in a heartbeat.

Take away two plays by Stout and we would have had a shutout.   ;)   Funny thing about football, you can't take away plays.

What about Ferron? Where does he stand amongst the wiac elite?

Check out this link about UWW's CPA program...

http://www.uww.edu/marketingandmedia/news_releases/2006_03_cpa_results.html

I'll just give you a highlight of it...

"UW-Whitewater ranked second behind Wake Forest University among those schools with the highest rates of passing of all sections among all first-time candidates (with and without advanced degrees)."

Note: Having a great accounting program does not make you a great business school.  Given the choice between UWW and Wharton, I would recommend Wharton.   UWW may produce CPAs, but Wharton and the other schools I mentioned produce CEOs.

But whatever gets you through the night.

Must be those budding Whitewater CPAs who are figuring out Justin Beaver's rushing yards today... No wonder he's the all-time leader!  ;)

BoBo

Actually, I'm not a CPA - don't even play one on TV - but the real stat recorders were at Stout.  I was never good at math.  Just can't figure out how they could credited someone with a phantom 60 yard gain and not notice and correct the mistake  :-\.  They're the ones who messed this thing up.  :o

Taking a break from rushing-gate  ;) to mention, as did the Falcon posters here, UWRF's wide receiver Zweifel's 18 catches today, breaking the record he tied last week, when he had 17.

35 catches in his last two games?? Are you kidding me? That is incredible...
Congrats to him, in what must have been a fun WIAC game to watch vs. La Crosse.

I did not get a chance to see Ferron in person ... I'll let others comment on him.

uww4ever

screw warten, see you in the championship that we can't seem to win.

Goo 62

You know if you take away some of Emmitt Smith's long runs he probably wouldnt be the NFL leading rusher.  Comments like that are the dumbest thing ever.  Just like the long runs by Beaver comments. Everyone can question Beaver all they want.
Yeah its probably the system or its his Oline or his amount of carries.  Maybe you mental midgets, questioning Beaver, will one day realize maybe he is just that good.

Congrats to the hawks on the three time, three time, three time conference champs.

I can't respond any more to the talk of which back is better than Beaver......the talk is simply just ignorant....Today Whitewater won ugly with a sub par performance by the offense......it's the mark of a pretty good team to win when they maybe didn't play their best. In the last 6 years we really have not played a really good game at the Billiard Table.....don't know why but I think you have to give the Stout defense some credit for the lack of offense. A win on the road in the WIAC is a very good thing even in these last three years of Warhawk dominance.....Cudos to Z's kid on another great game.....

J44:  How many times have you seen Beaver actually play??  I can't believe you can base your opinions on just one game--and I game in which he ran for 190 Yards!!!!  I really don't understand all of you Beaver-haters, but I'm guessing it has a lot to do with jealousy.  We love our Beaver, and I wouldn't trade him for ANY back in the COUNTRY expect maybe Kmic.  Go get the pioneers next week Warhawks and pound the rock!!!

bobhawk

I've seen Beaver play about 15 games or so, and he is a very good back, however NO better pure runner than two or three current WIAC backs.  (also not a very good pass blocker at all from what I saw today)  I'd say he is probably in the top 10 since 2000.

On the whole Justin Beaver issue:
I very interesting quote from UW-Stout coach on Beaver after the game Saturday (I think he's a pretty good source, don't ya think?? :)
"He's a great player and a great kid," head coach Duey Naatz said of Beaver, "In the history of this league, there's never been a better [running back]."

This is from UW-Stout's official website

Any thoughts??
