What's up at left guard for WW. Is there an injury?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

UWOTITAN

35 catches in his last two games?? Are you kidding me? That is incredible...
Congrats to him, in what must have been a fun WIAC game to watch vs. La Crosse.

Almost as incredible as Moriarty's 602 rushing yards in the last 2 games.  He is single handedly winning games.

Congrats to the Warhawks on another title.

I thought the Devils defense played well enough to give Stout a chance to win. The offense just kept laying the ball on the carpet and gave up 2 interceptions as well. Obviously the WW defense had something to do with the 6 turnovers.

Nice to hang out with some Warhawk fans before and after the game. Before the game at a tailgate I bet with one that the winner buys the loser a drink afterwards.

I did enjoy my Leinenkugels Original for free.  ;)

stoutguy--was it you who said LaX is done? Not quite. However, had we had good special teams play, we could have won it. As it was, Falcons had decided stat edges in yards gained (514-428) and first downs (27-17), but gave up 251 yards in 5 k.o. returns, including one for a t.d. and one to our 15 yard line which resulted in a t.d. the next play. Also, in a colossal blunder, Falcons faked a punt on about their own 30 on a 4th and about ten. Hello? So, we did not deserve to win.

Unfortunately, the record setting day for both Anderson (declared the all time leading Falcon rusher before the game), and Zweifel were dimmed somewhat by the loss.

FF,
Why is it that whenever I say something stupid on the radio, someone is listening?  JanesvilleFlash also nailed me for telling my Sat. morning partner that the WW/Stout game might be close.  I still think you guys and EC are the big feel good stories in the league.  Congrats to a great WW team.  They are methodical, they do not make mistakes even when they are not inspired, and if you make a mistake against them, they will always take advantage.

Don't tell me stoutguy missed out on a free beer!

If you here a loud noise, it's me, zooming past BDB in the pickems. Cream really does rise to the top.

Yes, my granddaughter's 1st birthday party prevented me from the free stuff but I can always make up for it at a future time.  I offered to buy BDB lunch last week on a day that I was sure he was busy so I have that going for me now.

Hello Whitewater fans!

I was looking at Beaver's totals so far this season and comparing them to Kmic's. About how many minutes per game is Beaver playing? I noticed Beaver has about 130 more carries than Kmic but Kmic has scored 21 TD's to 7 for Beaver. Is he taken out in some situations close to the goal line?

I think the All-Conference team comes out a week from Monday or Tuesday.  Who do you guys think will be all-conference.  I know, the Whitewater fans will probably say their team should just get every spot on first team offense, defense and special teams.

congrtas to WW!!

would EC be in the playsoffs with a win at stout next week??  they would be 8-2..

purpled - I would guess you'll get some nasty remarks regarding your question about Beaver's playing time. As an observer with no dog in this fight, I think you would find that Beaver gets many more carries, and plays longer into games than Kmic. I've been to 5 UWW games ove rthe past two years, and I can't remember a time when he was on the bench with more than about 8 minutes left. If you research the stats for UWW, I would guess that other backs, excluding QB Danny Jones, have very few carries.

excuse me...my last post said EC was at Stout next week..the game is at EC,,,

ihavesomething2say

Here's my team with a week to go:
QB:Danny Jones WW(im only picking him because hes for the conference champs, no qb is blowing away the competition like Jacobs and Krause did when they played)
RB: Justin Beaver WW, Andy Moriarty OSH, Nate Anderson RF (all 3 no brainers)
TE:Kyle Kubasa OSH
WR:Mike Zwiefel RF, Neil Mrkvicka WW, Ted Everson LC
OL: Brent Allen WW, Joe Schmitz OSH, and 3 others (Oline is to hard to figure out, I would put a Eau Claire guy in there cause they will take 2nd place)
Punter: Luke Frisch STP
Kicker:Jeff Schebler WW
All-Purp: Dan Hall LC

DL: Gregg Neumann RF, Ryan Ogrizovich WW, Joe Troia LC, the last spot is between Brad Vickroy STP and Chris Booze PLT
LB: A.J. Raebel WW, (I think you could put 5 LB's on first team with these guys filling the other 4 spots, Bruce Baillargeon RF, Eric Stenbroten OSH, Stephen Schils ST, Lincoln Berg STP, Matt Eastlick PLT, Tristan Borzick WW, Sam Cummings EC, Dustin Robinson STP all these guys are worthy of first team, I think the only guy that is going to be on it for sure is Raebel, the other 8 guys will be in a tight battle, toughest position to figure out)
DB:Ben Farley WW, Dave Wicklund or Zach Paul EC, one of these 2 will make it, Bryan Kent OSH, Matt Blaziewske WW

I was bored and figured this could maybe start a discussion.

Bobo didn't this game remind you of the SCSU game in week 2 ? De Ja Vue all over again for the O. Dropped balls, QB real inconsistent, running game hit and miss. Coachs left 2 TO's on the board before half in Stout territory. Yup a win is a win and this one is in the books but I was thinking more of MHB type game at this stage of the season. Bad day at the office against a team who had something to prove for the O. D side of the ball was just stellar again. Congrats to the Hawks. Back at home for a tune up and then on to the Stagg again.  quote author=BoBo link=topic=3741.msg797230#msg797230 date=1194142457]

I really do fear that this UWW team is representing the WIAC in the playoffs as they do not seem to have "it".  The OLine is not what it was, the qb is not even near where he should be, and the biggest surprise was how Beaver was bottled up on most of his runs 0-3 yards typically.

I think they will lay the lumber to Platteville next week on Senior Day, then use that as a springboard into their playoff run.

DBG, it wasn't just Danny Jones who didn't show much. The QB play on both sides, statistically (I can't comment on a visual standpoint as I listened to the radio), was poor (WW 9-24 1 TD, 2 int; Stout 15-44 2 int).  If you review the WW season game by game, the defense has carried them all year. The offense has struggled many times (but before today had improved play the last couple weeks), but the defense has rarely wavered, except for the first 2/3's of the LC game.  I think you have to give the Stout D credit for playing an inspired game more than knocking the WW offense.  Again today, WW's defense was "stout", holding the Blue Devils under 200 yards offensively, their lowest output of the year.  As KitchenSink mentioned, after last weeks win over MHB, it seemed WW was just trying to get out of Stout with a win and no injuries. That was a major concern addressed over and over throughout the game on the radio broadcast.  First up is Platteville, but they'll be ok in making a strong playoff run.

bobhawk your football knowledge is so limited its amazing.  I think I would rather watch a game with helen keller, ray charles and stevie wonder.  Maybe you just make these comments to stir up controversy on the board which is fine with me.  But if you actually think this maybe you should be a fan of another sport because you are just wasting your efforts on football.  I heard curling is entertaining or maybe male cheerleading.  But after reading your comments football is not your sport.
Go Hawks and congrats again 3 in a row, GOTTA LOVE IT

ihavesomething2say

I could see(hahaha) watching a game with ray charles and stevie wonder, but hellen keller? Wasnt she deaf too?  That would be really hard to watch a game with her because I would have to write in brail so she would know whats going on.  Goo 62, I dont know who you talked to that told you curling was entertaining, but they must live a boring life.
