I am with BW on this one.....to suggest the players or coaches are taking the first game of the playoffs for granted simply means that this person or persons have no idea what has been going on with Warhawk football for the last few years....In the last two years they have not taken any playoff oponent no matter who for granted and certainly it's not going to start with Capital.....Pound the Rock!!!!.....

Ya, get a little nervous with all this, "Capital doesn't have an offense," talk.  Been a top tier program in the OAC, especially the last three years with Pentello, their AA QB.  Hard to replace him and tough to lose the player that did but don't think this team will drop that far in ablilty.  Maybe the posters learned from the UMHB ones who claimed that their RB duo was going to light it up against the Hawks front 7!  Didn't work too well for them.  ;) Cap supporters maybe hoping that the Hawks will overlook them but they and their coaching staff have been down this road twice before. This very well could be the toughest game we play in the region.  The Warhawks will be ready!  Let's Pack the PERK!
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

All Im saying is that a team that has rolled throught and dominated this conference the way they did you would think they would have way more all conference players than any other team.  I think they got screwed.  Especially in the OLine and Defense at every position.

The knock out was the determining factor for Moe.  I mean even some pros don't recover fully from those types of whacks. The LaX and MHB games were big factors in QB selection. Jones was steady all season. As I said all year effective and efficient is the key to success in the WIAC. Throwing 50 times a game isn't the deal especially with the Beaver pounding the rock.

wow, i'm surprised Jones received first-team for QB. I thought for sure Moe was going to get it, despite the injury he still had a great season.

Congrats to Jones and Beaver for a great career (which isn't over yet) both are now three time all conference.
There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

The injury bug bit more than Capital's QB and WR's.  Their leading rusher against Baldwin Wallace in Week 10 was their starting defensive end.

FWIW, the spread on the OAC Pick-Em page is Capital +23.5 ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

You said "Hoping that the Hawks will overlook them but they and their coaching staff have been down this road twice before. This very well could be the toughest game we play in the region.  The Warhawks will be ready!  Let's Pack the PERK! " ???
I am concerned that this is one of those trap games where Capital D comes in with a bit of a chip on thier shoulder and wants to beat up the big kid on the block to prove a point. If the O line can't pass protect the zone blitz and give Jones time to either find guys downfeild or get outside it could be a 3-0 game either way.

I definitely agree that at least one if not both of the Hawks Guards should have been first team.  However, I wouldn't say anyone got "screwed" on anything.  Every coach votes for who they believe earns first, second and honorable mention.  If someone is voted first team over a second team player, that simply means they earned more respect by their play throughout the season.  Whitewater might not have the best "players" in the conference at EVERY position, however have clearly showed they are the best "team."  To say Rindahl would deserve 2nd team is kind of a foolish statement.  Rindahl is a solid player, however I would be willing to bet if he wasn't surrounded by "Great" linebackers and a "Great" DL, he wouldn't have earned honorable mention.

I also totally agree with Dan Hall being a 1st team selection.  Yes Anderson had more yards, however I truly believe Hall was a more explosive and better all around running back.  And if it was only stats that mattered in this selection process, then Moriarity would have been POY over Beaver..   Stats are great, however the people who actually vote on these things (coaches who watch, critique and evaluate film) know and understand which players they have to game plan around, and which players are the biggest asset to their team.

You still amaze me with your comments.  Its amazing how you are still clueless.  Stats do mean alot.  If they mean nothing why do we keep them.  Should we not have records either.  Or maybe just stop with all awards too.  Are you sure your not a soccer parent.  You probably just want everyone to have fun.

Rindhal is easily a top 6 LB in this league with Raebel and Borzick as 1 and 2.  I dont care who play in front of him or next to him or behind him.  He is a great and I mean great player and should be recognized for it.  And Andersen got jobbed and everyone but you thinks it.  Do us all a favor and sit on your hands forever.

GOO..  I never said stats don't mean anything.. Simply said they don't mean "everything" when it comes to all-conference voting.   (coaches pick who they believe are worthy) So OBVIOUSLY, the coaches of the WIAC conference believe Hall was more deserving than Anderson.   SOOO, after a little research Mr. Hall had 136 yards on 22 carries against the Hawks as compared to Anderson who had 126 on 23 carries..  Now believe me I know YOU are not a brain surgeon but even you can see that Hall had the better day.  Therefore I'm assuming the Hawks coach would have voted for Hall because he had "better" stats.    And also since Stats are everything.. Mr Rindahl should have been in the top 6 in tackles for linebackers..  Let me check quick.....  Nope, he was 12th, therefore according Goober there are 11 LB's better than him.   And there is NO WAY Rindahl is a top 6 linebacker in the WIAC.  Now, that was funny..

Goo 62

Oh bobby.  I dont care who voted for Hall, I think Andersen is a better back.  And I never said stats were everything.  I said the quote mean alot.  Rindhal is easily a top 6 LB in the WIAC and you not saying so, further more shows your an idiot.  How do you even know about the WIAC?  From your knowledge you have not ever played in it.  Since you claim that Rindhal is only good because of his supporting cast, have you ever thought Hall is only done what he has done due to playing for LAX.  Andersen played at RF which has been the armpit of this league for quite sometime and Andersen was still able to do wha he did which in fact was better than Hall.

Keep hiding behind that screen name too.  I just wish you had some balls.  So scared.

Oh Goo..  If you look at what I wrote a couple posts ago, I said Jace was "solid" player.   I never said he wasn't a good LB in this league, just by no means believe he is a top 6 LB.  And according to the "stats" my statement would have some backing to it.   Oh yea, I looked up some more stats and when RF played LX, Hall had 186 on 26 while Anderson had 136 on 38 carries.  Looks like Mr. Hall outplayed him.  Now Mr. Goo, please keep responding because I get great pleasure in reading your posts.  Wow, how did you get to skip the English courses at Whitewater?? Perhaps you shouldn't have!!  Also, please don't ever coach football.. Because regardless of where you were coaching, I'm sure all 11 of your offensive and defensive players would be deserving of all conference accolades.  Maybe you should sit on your hands..

Agreed....getting very old.

Just one more "stat" since somebody LOVES THEM..  Hall averaged 157 yards of offense/game as compared to Anderson who averaged 151...

For the sake of the board this will be my last post regarding the moron.  Your comments are horrible and Im not the only one that thinks so.  You obviously dont have much football background your probably got cut or didnt play, maybe even played volleyball or soccer.  Or cause your grammar is so great maybe you were one of those nerding english teachers.  Keep posting your horrible comments, you make us all look better.  Gotta Love It.
