GO GREEN KNIGHTS!

OK. That is out of my system. Congrats to UWEC. It was a great game to watch and a tough one to lose. My hat goes off to your team. Both teams letf it on the field Saturday and it came down to the last minute.

I will be cheering for you to beat Bethel. Good luck and have a great game.

It might be a little early for All-American talks but what are the chances of little Z getting 1st or 2nd team?

Those are some freakin unreal stats for a freshman wideout in the WIAC.  Not an easy league to do things like that..

When do those awards get voted on anyways?

Those are great stats but I dont think he will get all-american status.  Heres some rediculous stats put up by a freshman this year:  Michael Crabtree for Texas Tech
125 rec.  1861 yrds. 14.9 avg. 21 tds.  The rec. yrds. and tds are all DI records for a freshman. old fresh records 98 rec.  1265 yrds.  14 tds.  NOW THAT IS SHATTERING RECORDS. And he still has a bowl game left.

Devil Badger Gopher - Your logic of going from the general to the specific is flawed. Normally WIAC teams are bigger and can stop the run, HOWEVER, Bethel has a very large "O" line that can handle UWEC, IMHO. That does not mean a guaranteed win for the Royals, but I wouldn't count on the "fact" that since one team is from the WIAC and the other from the MIAC having any relevance.

I wonder if they let guys go straight to the pro's from HS what this kid would do in the league.  Wait 2 more years and we'll see.  Unreal stats.

Many of them have tasted the bitter pill of defeat in the big game and do not want thier legacy to be "Been there 3 times and nothing to show for it"

Of course, there are two ways to avoid this.  One, as you intimated, is to win the big game.  The other?  I'll let you think about it and see if it comes to you.

In my experience against teams from the MIAC, they could not handle the physical play that was imposed upon them.  One fo these teams included a tough, hard-nosed, run-oriented team.

Maybe I'm completely misunderstanding what your point is but are you suggesting that MZ is capable of playing in the NFL straight out of high school because he's put up such impressive numbers at RF?  No offense intended but if you are that is simply absurd.  At his size he would never get off the line of scrimmage and risk death or serious injury if he did manage to get downfield.  I seriously doubt he has NFL speed either.  Regardless of how impressive he has been at RF.

After he graduates and has had time to bulk up and get faster who knows but straight out of high school, no way in God's creation.

Speaking of playing in the NFL, does AJ Raebel get a shot? He has the size and good speed.

I thought that at first too, but then I decided he had to be talking about the D-I kid.

Was totally refering to the texas tech kid!  No chance on MZ getting that chance, but after 4 years of some stats like that and another 25 pounds and a fast 40 time, who knows.

With Pete Schmidt and Stanley and the boys from stout getting looks to the NFL last year, I really think that helps AJ's chance.   He's a stud and will put up some really good combine numbers so best of luck to him.  I hope LL and the UWW staff are doing everything they can to get his name to these NFL teams.

I am told A.J. ranks pretty high on quite a few national ranking services for linebackers. He can only improve once he starts working out for the Combine because he has natural speed and strength......

Thanks everyone for posting the final scores here for the Whitewater game. It was driving me nuts being in Chicago and not being able to follow the game. I was checking my phone for scores every half hour.

I'll be at this week's game though. going early and we'll be grillin some Ribeye steaks outside the Perk. Can't wait!!!

Go 'Hawks, lets pack da Perk!!!
