Tough picks this week. I choose LC, WW, EC, and St.P

stoutguy

EC
LaCrosse
Point (I said I would never pick them again)
Stout (Sorry Todd, when I picked against you last week I was still trying to win the Pic'em contest.)  But we really are good right now and will upset the "unbeatable Warhawks"

Sorry, Stoutguy, but there really isn't a way that you will do what 8 others have tried and failed to do.  Especially if the game plan is to run it down WW's throat! Not a chance against the #1 rushing defense in the WIAC and if you do manage a play or two and threaten, #1 red zone defense!  Ask LAX about coming away with only 3 points out of a chance of 14 when the defense had to stop them twice in a row from approximately the 15 after 2 blown special teams plays in a row. By the way, that's been fixed.  I have been told by several that the astroturf mainly sucks because it is so hard to land on but players can actually run faster on it.  Imagine that,  a faster WW team, lol!!  Good luck tomorrow anyway!  It will be a great game, I'm sure!

Oh and I'm sure your comeback may include the fact that ST beat LAX by more than WW did and I will give you that.  However, I have been told that the LAX team that showed up to play ST after 2 losses wasn't remotely the same team that played WW when they were still undefeated and still had dreams of a 4th conference championship.  They seemed to roll over for ST and made ST look better than they really were.  But I could be wrong!!

Eau Claire at Oshkosh....Eau Claire, but I won't mind being wrong one bit.
LaCrosse at River Falls...LaCrosse, the walking wounded are still good enough
Stevens Point at Platteville...Who knows, I'll guess Stevens Point

BDB

fbf413,

You won't hear back from stoutguy because he is busy bean farming.
Being his good buddy, I know he wouldn't make the LAX comparison like some people might, because he knows every team matches up differently with other teams.
He would agree with me that this Stout team has evolved nicely over the season since it got beat up with injuries early in the year and is playing it's best football right now.

BDB Picks:

Eau Claire
River Falls
Stevens Point
and
Going back to the Devils-Titans game, tie score about a minute remaining in the game Stout ball inside Oshy territory going in for the game winning score...the Titans make the big interception and run it back to the Devils 15 yard line. They get the game winning score or this Stout-Whitewater game would be for a tie for the conference lead (albeit with EC holding a tie-breaker over the Devils).

But I digress. BDB picks his homeboys and their 18-3 record at the Big Willy over BW's Warhawks in a close one, 24-21.

If I am wrong, I will come back on and lead the "Humble Pie Eating Contest," but don't look for it until Sunday night.   Won't have assess to a computer until then.  (WW holds the tie-breaker over everone, ....... so far!   Go Hawks!

The hawks have had some great success on the old school turf up in menominee, however this year the devils have a lot ot play for.  They see that big bullseye on ur back and they want to take you out!!  Play fast and show them how Z's new air attack can end a game early!!

UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW UWW!!!!!!!!

POY honors have to go to either #7 or #32 for the hawks!!!  Hell maybe even jacobs!!

UdubO

going back to the stout vs oshkosh game, oshkosh's starting quarterback was hurt and missed the game.  This lead to absolutely no passing game of any kind, only 12 passes total in the game.  Had Patek been healthy no chance would that game have been closer.
