I've never posted over here. First off I just want to say that I have the most respect for UWW's football and program. I came to the game in October and was really impressed by everything I saw. Field was awesome, crowd was diehard, and the people were very nice. With that being said....

Have any of yall thought of what's going to happen if yall lose?

I hope UMHB wins, but if they lose, they will lose to a great team and will have nothing to hang their head about.

Yet if yall lose, all of yall are going to have to eat your words. I'll make sure I bring a couple extra forks......

Wondered if you were going to show up over here some time this week, Yessir.  You also had some words to eat regarding your postings on the ASC board before the Oct. meeting and I don't recall you picking up the fork afterwards.    You and I  had some lengthy conversations after the game.  If I remember right, you were the poster that was making the arguement that the turnovers had much more to do with the Cru and Welch just having a bad day and not giving the Hawks D much credit. You know, that kind of talk can work against your team this weekend, don't ya?   ;)

I've always wondered if Texans say "y'all" as often as  Uppers say "hey."   Now I know.

Yes we do.  However it should be noted that Yessir used poor y'all grammar.  It should read "all y'all" rather than "all of y'all."  It is possible that this is an acceptable dialectical variant, but "all y'all" is generally accepted.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Just a side note to all y'all using y'all in your posts.

I went to a HUGE church convention where kids from all over the nation came when I was in high school for 5 days.  The first two days were spent making fun of all the Texans and their politically incorrect grammar due to our overuse of the word y'all.  However, the next three days were hilarious to me because as everyone used the word to make fun of us, I think they realized the time it saves instead of using "you all".  By the end just about everyone I talked to in our smaller groups was using it in their everyday language.

So be careful northerners!  Don't use it to much too poke fun or you might end up using it yourself!!!
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Suffering through another early December loss in Whitewater is best left to a team other than St. John's... that honor this year goes to a team from Texas.

Developing....

Is that because they're actually still playing in December?   ;)

JP;  Undoubtedly.... I forsee a Wesley-esque like result...

It's just too damn cold.

I'd give ya +karma for making me smile, BDB, but I already did it this morning so it will have to wait.   Actually, I enjoy the southerners use of y'all in conversation and can see how it would be very easy to pick up if one was around it for any lengh of time.

Just to make my self clear. I am not trash talking or poking fun at UW-W. I have alot of respect for your team and the football program. I am not going to say that UMHB will win, this game is very equal if you ask me. Both teams are very talented and are playing very well right now. Their is just so much talk of this not even being a winable game for UMHB. I was just wondering if anyone has thought about the trash talking that would occur if UMHB does win. I mean did anyone expect Pitt to beat West Virginia, NO. Anything can happen whenever the game is played out on the field.

As far as fans traveling, i'm at the Airport right now and there is a small group on this flight. Not to mention the ones who traveled with the team. I just hope people arent planning to travel in the morning, from the sound of it, the weather in Chicago is already becoming a problem for travel. I could only imagine the trouble it could cause for a early morning flight.

As far as proper grammar and the use of "yall", this is a post pattern. Not an english class. If you want to read proper grammar pick up a textbook......

Yeah it took a little while for me to eat my words in October, but I guess that's how it goes when you spend the time and money to watch your team play and they have a bad day. Which leads everyone to believe that they are "Overated" and yada yada yada.

I hope they have a much better game tomorrow.  As far as UW-W not believeing that UMHB is capable of winning tomorrow. Other teams in the past have felt that way and ended up being on the lossing end. You should always think about the possibilities........
