Thanks Udubo...there for a minute I thought I was at the wrong game...actually I thought the flag was for offensive pass interference since the Osh d-back was in postition and dropped the pass.  Blugold26 has an appointnment with the eye doctor today,,,along with the zebras!

Osh won...enough said!

Here is what I saw from the Oshkosh game.

#1 . The push on the QB out of bounds was a questionable call. It was a tough angle for me to see though.

#2. The pass interference was questionable, but I thought that the CB ran through the reciever, which is pass interference.

#3. If the bg's actually go for the touchdown instead of throwing three fade patterns to close the game, bg's probably win. The bg's quarterback had Oshkosh on there heals. I knew that the bg's defense couldn't stop Osh's runningback, so I think that they should have tried to finish the game there.

#4. I saw a post on here saying that the blugolds took points off the board with the fieldgoal. Last time I checked a touchdown that Oshkosh scored would have been more points that the blugolds field goal in overtime. Hence, that didn't matter. The bg's needed a touchdown.

Stouts field is the old turf style. Just like something that Camp Randall used to have. It used to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but now with the new FieldTurf like Eau Claire has, it sucks.

Boy, were you sooooo right.  Between Stouts defense and the wet, slippery turf, I don't know which was the rock and which was the hard spot.  The Hawks were off balance for much of the first half, mainly the timing of the passing game.  But as great teams do,   their defense kept it close until adjustments could be made, the most important one being the change of shoes of many players at halftime.  Second half was the team we all know and love.  Congrats to the 2005 UWW Warhawk Conference Champions,  their coaches and fans!  Still a lot on the "To Do List!!"  No let up!!  Just a short stop on the "Yellow Brick Road!"   (By the way, thanks, Augie!")

Hey when a CB runs through the WR shoulder to get into position that is pass interference and by the way I have 20/20 vision.  The roughing the QB was the questionable call.  The only thing that was certain is UWO's running attack, I will even admit that.

I wasn't at the game and didn't see the play, but pass interference always favors the offense.  The defensive guy can play perfectly and it will still be called pass interference.  Because a tie goes to the receiver.  It sucks but it's true.

In reality, and how every DB is coached is- if, on Offense or Defense, you  are playing the ball, it is not interference.  So many times does the corner break on the ball, not even caring where the receiver is, a collision occurs because both players were looking at the ball and didn't know or care where the other was.  This is always called interference on the defense even when the offensive guy was doing the exact same thing. It is no penalty.

The rule needs to be re-examined. Or have more qualified people calling the games.
The NFL has ruined pass coverage in exchange for high scoring (high ratings), I hope that doesn't trickle down and affect college football, even though it is already starting.

I vote for Andy Mocadlo as the best player in the last ten years.

Stout might know what I mean-390+ yards one game- as well as anybody else who ever tried to tackle him.  He was a RB and gave out more concussions than a conference worth of LB's in a season.  At 5'9 215 lbs he cut harder, ran harder and hit harder than anybody I've ever seen, pro or college.

Something people outside the locker room can't determine is the level of leadership that he brought to the team.  This guy breathed fire and sweat lightning.  If that didn't get you fired up, all you had to do was look at his eyes and see what you meant to him as part of his team.  It truly was his team in 2003.

As far as post college football, his physical condition was not recovered by the time scouts came around following the season.  And as in everybody's life, he had to make some decisions.

He still looks like he could terrorize any football league in the world.

Other considerations from LAX would be Scott Burnoski who torched Stout's multi-year all-conference Eric Moe for somewhere around 200 yards and a couple touchdowns before the afore mentioned Mocadlo knocked him out with a concussion in the 2nd half.  He also caught touchdown after touchdown on WW's secondary in 2004.  He has multiple records for touchdowns, and catches and yards at LAX and he could block.

Post College-not the prototypical ethnicity to play professional football.

Now we'll have to wait and see but Ken Halvorson (injured this season) and Steve Teeples might be up there if you ask this question in a couple of years.

What ever happened to Spielman from Stout in 2000 or 01 (I forget which year)

P-Ville's Damian Droessler should have been playing D all along but the flashy offense can entice anybody.

Maybe with him and some other Cuba City alumni, the D could have learned to play this century.  Shawn Busch (DL), Tim Polfer (DB/LB), Damian Droessler (LB).  Could have represented the SWAL conference pretty well.

Sometimes you gotta give some new guys a chance, even if they aren't your favorites or they don't practice quite as well as others.  If it's broke, try something new!

Some could say that Wurth for the w-hawks could rank up there as your best players in the past 10 years.  I wouldn't say the best but i would definatly say top 10

fatboy96

I didn't realize that Busch needed more chances to play, he was a good ball player for us on D and was all-conference (HM) his senior year...

And yes that was the same Dan Robinson that used to play for P-ville, from what I understand he has been a damned good player for the Pointers.... Would have looked great in Orange and Blue on that D-line, would have been even better had Kratcha (at LAX now) stayed as well......  Boy I have a lot of ...... in here....  What is the saying, "Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda...the Been brothers

cubs

Just to mention an name from the past (not saying he's the best) anone remember former UWO QB Brian Tomalak??  If I recall he put up some pretty big numbers back when UWO was a "losing" passing team.

Sound familiar to anyone these days??

Busch is a good friend of mine... I always thought he'd be an LB but he did a great job on the d-line.
That would've been great to see the CCHS linebacking core.  Polfer as weak side or SS, Busch in the middle and Droessler on the outside.  Ah..fiction can be fun.

I know P-ville undervalued Polfer, but damn that kid could play, and he knows the game inside and out.

I don't know much about the coaching down there, but how are the position coaches?  Do they do the best with what they've got, or do the coaches need a little bit of work themselves? (Platteville)(Honest question, nothing implied)
