Great article about Justin Beaver in the Road to Salem feature.  Sounds like a great young man.  This is one Texan that will be rooting for him and his teammates to bring home the championship.  Good luck this weekend.

6,335 career rushing yards, which rank second in Division III history and top the school and WIAC lists, and his school-record 43 touchdowns. He's a three-time all-American and three-time Gagliardi finalist. With even a modest performance on Saturday, he'll pass former Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne (6,397 career yards) for 10th place on the all-divisions rushing list.

Moriaty still better?

Erroneous!!  Erroneous on all accounts!!  Beaver is the man.

Will someone be posting any article with the "individual honors don't mean as much to me as what the Championship Trophy would?"
That's what generally surrounded Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush.

Clearly both teams will be facing their toughest opponent since they hooked up in the last Stagg.  Just like it should be!

I would disagree with this since UWW has lost to a Div. 2 team so it is not clear to me that this is the best opponent, but it is still likely as I think both teams would be St. Cloud now.

Nice Front Page story about Mr Beaver who seems to be an impressive person, in addition to being an impressive football player, (and not an uneducated boob)

Also, there was a nice story about Borzick and Blaziewski in the Kenosha News today. I tried to find it on the net in order to give a link, without success. (I get the actual paper delivered) Maybe someone on here can find it and post it.

Kenosha News right something decent... I am shocked!!! My parents got sick of it and canceled our subscription... didn't stop them from delivering it for two years after though... lol

Just watched the ESPN preview... horrible... I've never seen such a one-sided championship "preview"

It has been that way for the last two years. In 2005 all the annoucners did was talk about Larry Kehres, and then last year whoever the guy announcer was. I think he was Stan Zweifels publicist as he kept saying. I am not sure if the AD from UW-Whitewater is here but they need to hire him as head coach. This while his offense was getting manhandled by Mount Union's defense.
However this is the year the Hawks take it to thse darn Pruple raiders and make every say Mount Union WHO??

I seem to remember them talking about Beaver(s) (just kidding on the s) and Coach B quite a lot during last years broadcast.  They were pretty bad though.  I was disappointed to see Pam Ward back on the broadcast team this year.  Maybe she can remember that MTU runs a 4-2-5 Defense and not a 5-2-5 defense this year.

Maybe that's how MU wins all those games.  5-2-5 defense  :o :o

UWW / Mt Union #3, Yes!

Just wanted to update the invite to Stone Station on Saturday. Skoaltrain is cooking 25lbs of bbq pork and I hear there will be fried turkey and meat balls as well this year. I just finished cutting up 200pcs of chicken to bbq. Drop by and join us for a little semi-southern tailgate. Look for the Bridgewater Football flags or just follow your nose on Saturday. Sounds like Wisconsin weather. Drive or fly safe, good luck, and see you either Friday night at CBC or in the parkinglot on Saturday! ;)

ps. We will have a post patterns sign-in board again this year so stop by sign the board and meet some posters in real life!  ;D ;D ;D

I stand by my comment.  If UWW turns it over 4 times against MUC like they did SC, it will be a lot worse than your week 2 loss.  If UWW loses the T.O battle bigtime, MUC in a landslide.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

HSCoach has a very solid point. I have seen MUC play in person four times, and on tape a dozen more, and whenever they get a turnover they turn it into points.
So that as mentioned before is the key for the Hawks not turning the ball over. Although the Hawks have been pretty good about getting turnovers this year as well. However I am not sure how many times they have turned those turnovers into points. Like the Purple Raiders.

Hey Boboooooo........

Maybe Jaypeter is subconciously misspelling the Beav's name because we as Mount fans think the best running back in the D-III nation is named Kmic.....NOT BEAV......BEAV..ER.....BEAVERSSSS....or whatever he calls himself!   ;D

Another example of an idiotic statement that has nothing to do with typing a guys name correctly.  I've heard plenty of times all over this website of people complaining of PA announcers screwing up names...why can't we call out people when they do it in writing...over and over and over again???

Couple my education with the fact that I can't type to save my life, and Bobo may soon become Boob in my posts.

And whoever it was that made the comment about "uneducated boobs", I take great offense to that.  I prefer my boobs to be attached to the highly uneducated.  Makes playing with them easier.  ;D
Yikes!  :o
