It didn't look like the Rams did any blocking for him.  There were 3 Packers waiting for on the 20 every time he had the ball.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I'll be posting up a Stagg recap in the next couple of days ala the 2006 Stagg

Yes...TDT I picked "MUC in a walk" but I'm happy to see the Warhawks kids didn't read or listen to the doubters...like myself.  After the 2005 Linfield/UWW game I should have known better.

Congrats to the Warhawks on winning their first national title.  You guys certainly looked and played like champions yesterday.  Beaver showed why he was the best in D3, and the defense had all the answers for MUC's high powered offense.  Hope everyone had a good trip and enjoyed themselves in Salem.  Once again, congratulations and enjoy being the defending Division III National Champions.  Hopefully MUC and WW can make it four in a row next year and the Raiders get a chance to dethrone the Warhawks.  Best of luck in '08.
They should have practiced harder.

I have wondered on this board which one of the Warhawk teams over the last three years is the best....well I guess that debate is over.

Truthfully at the begining of the year I wouldn't have picked this one.  In fact I've stated that I felt last year's team was the best I'd seen in the 40 years I've followed the program.  But I think I'll have to rethink that now.

Last week I noticed some discussion among MUC fans as to the best team in their program's glorious history and some felt this was the team.  I wonder if that changes after Saturday's loss.

Ok, so the BADGER men's basketball team won, the CELTICS won, the WARHAWKS won and the PACKERS won.  If you're a BADGERCELTICSWARHAWKSPACKERSGUY this weekend was a nice.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WARHAWKS WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot tell you how great it feels to finally have one under our program's belt, especially beating Mount Union in the process. Congrats to all of you guys, you deserve it and I am so proud of you. I can only imagine how great the celebration was afterwards........
2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 NCAA Division 3 Champions.
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 WIAC Champions.

Congratulations to the Warhawks on a great game.  Maybe we can make it a four-peat next year and we can get the title back??  It was great meeting many of you at the Stone Station tailgate.

Enjoy your victory--it's only 8 months til there is more football.

Congrats again!
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

It was really cool to have a front row seat in my car as the Warhawks rolled into town at 3:30 or 4p.m. central and I honked at them and gave them a thumbs up.  Way to go Hawks, way to go Beaver, and all the hard work paid off.   There were a lot of people headed to the pep fest at DLK, which was great to see.

Stanley didn't do too bad, but did fumble one in which the Rams recovered anyway but he didn't fumble anymore once he realized that everyone tries to strip the ball in the NFL.  Ironic that he gets signed from the practice squad the day after the championship for UWW.  Wish I had a tape of the last part of the game.

Now, onto bball.  GO HAWKS

The final pickem standings are posted at the WIAC pickem page.  Congrats go out to notfredfalcon for winning the Playoff Pickem in a come from behind win and footballfan413 for winning the Season Overall Championship.  You both earned your victories.

I was at the celebration for the team returning home and I thought it was soo cool how they brought up Forrest Perkins, who said this was his greatest memory of UWW football, then brought up Brez, and then Leipold.... just simply amazing...

Willie the Warhawk get's the trophy for the mascot throw down. Classic
Coach Borland, The D would have ran through a mine field for you. Unbeleivable game prep.
The "bird salute" that some of the Raiders presented to the Hawks at the banquet was a good call. #1 is #1. Thanks for the additonal motivation.
Never got a chance to see Garcon play but somebody told me he was there.
Holiday Inn, big love for letting us drink everything but the pool water and disrupting the tranquility of your non football guests.
Stone Station, Looked in the dictionary under hospitality and there was your picture. You rule.
Raiders fans in the purple suits in the p-lot I met. You know how to roll.  Try to educate some of the rest of the Raiders fans on how to be passionate and still be cool.
Classic college footbgall game that will never be forgotten in the minds of many. Thanks

Just wanted to pop back in here and congratulate the Warhawks on their very deserved national championship.

Welcome to the club!

Great Game Warhawks.

You won with class on and off the field, The Beaver was amazing again! He was a big part in the win against  our Wildcats in 2005. Showed why he was the best Player in D3 this year, and probably the last 2 also.

   Enjoy the Moment!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Congratulations to the Warhawks on their National Championship!!!  8)  It does feel good to roll that off the tongue, doesn't it.  ;)

I was at the game sitting close to CNU85.  As an old offensive and defensive line coach, I spent the first three series for each team just watching the offensive lines come off the ball.  At the end of those series it was evident to me who would win the game.

This UMHB fan knows you earned your National Championship on the field where it counts and not by resting on laurels and expecting it to automatically happen again!!

Good luck next year whether we play each other again or not.
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Well we did it and I love it.  What a great game, taking it to Mt. Union.  So proud of all the hawks.

I am not proud the d3 football committee at this time.  The all american team came out and my jaw dropped.
Here is why: Raebel second team is a joke.  One OLineman from UWW an all american another joke.  2 first team all americans on the national championship team another joke.  And five total all americans for UWW.  I dont get it.  No Borzick.  No Anstett.  No Jones.  No UWW DB's.  Not much love for the best team in the country if you ask me.

Pat Coleman

So there's no All-American team you like -- we got it.

Fairly certain Farley is a defensive back. You might want to check that All-American team again before you complain too hard.
