Yup, that is what I figured.  And this is my last post until I can come up with something witty, inspirational and extremely intelligent.  I may have to plagiarize!   ;D

Here it is..............1,000.  BoBo inspired me to write something epic.  This was written in a sports column years ago, (I don't have the sports writers name,) in my local paper as advice to the high school football players.  This is hardly epic but I hope you enjoy it.

     Enjoy the season.
     Savor the moments.
     Take pictures.
     Make videotapes.
Ask you mom to watch you play.
Tell your dad that it is important for him to stop by the field.
Even if your coach discourages it, go ahead and wave to your folks before the game starts.
When a teammate screws up, don't wig out.
Understand that mistakes are going to be made, even in the execution of something that you might
have practiced a gajillion times.  Especially then.
Know that you are going to make a mistake yourself, perhaps one that might even cost your team a
     victory.
     Park your ego.
     Take the blame.
Take the time to high-five someone.
     Pick up a fallen teammate.
Be the player who makes the big play.
Step aside when it comes time for someone else to be the star.
     Don't humiliate anyone else.
     Don't humiliate yourself.
     Play with pride.
     Play with class.
     Play to win.
Understand that losing never made anyone a loser.
And play every game as if it were the last because it just might be.

Did you guys see the current poll question on d3football.com about wiac teams and scheduling?

KitchenSink

I don't beleive there is a snowball's chance in hell that all 8 teams will get a 10 game slate.  There will certainly be at least a dozen and very likely more than half non-D3's.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Nice story about about former River Falls Falcon Owen Schmitt during Senior Bowl preparations on ESPN.com.  If I were a GM, he's one guy I would have no questions about wanting on my team.

We already got an NAIA school scheduled, St Xavier and still have an open date.

I'd be pretty surprised if UWW coaxes another D3 non conf opponent (glad, but also surprised).  Had to go to the farthest corner to find one!

With Jim Zebrowski not getting the St. Thomas HC position, does that mean he will return to the Warhawks as OC?  Or is he still shopping his services around with hopes of landing a promotion?

Badgerwarhawk +k, congrats on a bakers dozen + 00!

Not sure... but I'm glad he is still at UWW for the time being... I have him for a class and seems like a great guy... I hope he hangs around...

Coach Zebrowski withdrew his name for consideration of the St. Thomas head coaching position last weekend.

Goo 62

And the truth shall set you free.  Coach Zebrowski pulled out his name from the St Thomas offer.  And that is the truth.  I dont spread rumors.  I am not stoutguy.

Pat Coleman

St. Thomas said he was a finalist.

Many coaches "withdraw" from a job they know they aren't going to get. Easier to spin.

Pat, Realize what you say is the way it usually happens but I don't think that is what happened in this case.....

dawarhawksrock

Saying I am withdrawing my name is another way of realizing that they are not getting the job. It was well documented that he was a finalist, and they chose someone else.
I know of a warhawk coach who withdrew his name form a lot of head coaching oppotunities mainly because he was not getting the job.
After this season I would not be surprised if the other full time coahes Borland,Simpson, and Edmonds don't get or have been offered opportunities to leave. As thats what happens win you win championships. People rcognbize your full time coaching staff.
Sakman, Why do not thing that is what happened in this case. Any evidence for these thoughts???
