With the guru moving to the upper mid-west, maybe we will see a more westward-leaning bias out of PC as well.  What do you think PC?

I think this site has already leaned North and West as long as we've been around, because that's where the power of Division III football is. I don't see that changing.

stealth

Bobo,
The Stealths return from TDY south of the border and find football being talked about. Very pleasant surprise. It must be close to spring training. Scrolling back wards  I see someone slamming the penguins."stupid"  As thier surrogate uncle I find this more unacceptable than the beak clapping about Wesley. There will be blood.
Pat, can I give a brother a +k for getting football back into the football post instead of global warming  ;D.

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

stealth, +k on your return...the boys can always depend on you.  I'm with you on the slamming, but I've come to realize there are hate-mongers everywhere.  I tend to dismiss them like I use to do with yesterdays newspaper!  I don't recycle them like I do today.  ;)  :D  ;D

I do find it curious that there hasn't been much mention of sooo many losses on the "O" line and on "D". Two monster LB's and a couple excellent "O" linemen may be harder to replace than you think fellows. I understand your optimism, but, as someone has sort of pointed out already, it's easy to be optimistic based on the last two years, but we won't know for sure until the season gets underway.

BoBo

I find it curious that sooo many folks with stated dislike for the WIAC in general and Whitewater specifically, come on here to express their "ideas, concerns, or assessment" about the 2008 edition of the Warhawks (usually all negative).  It's touching...really.   :o  I wonder if these "observers" are really closet WIAC fans or wannabe's?  Not including retagent (or do I? ) in that category since he's here a lot and we know the ground he walks on.

Yeah, you got me.  I'm a closet WIAC fan wannabe.  I also clip the ears of puppies and kittens, keep putting my upper dentures on the bottom, and secretly pull the tags off of mattresses when no one is looking.

Is there any other way to do it secretly?

"I was watching closely, but someone managed to rip off that mattress tag right under my nose."

The cliche says yes.

Touche!

Stephen Fry, in his book Moab is My Washpot says:

"It is a cliché that most clichés are true, but then, like most clichés, that cliché is untrue."

I agree with Samuel Goldwyn, "Let's have some new clichés."

retagent

I've never been  secretive about where my loyalties lie, but I think that too often,  my feelings toward the WIAC, and maybe UWW in particular, are misunderstood. Since I am a MIAC guy, there is a natural rivalry between the two conferences, both because of their proximity, and the high level of play, and the fact that because of that, we normally have to go through one another to get to the semis/Finals. I have a grudging respect for the WIAC because of that, and as such, find every opportunity to tweak those of you who are on that side. Even a casual observer would see that you sometimes get a little too big for your britches (another cliche' for you Bo Bo) and need to be taken down a notch. I would assume you feel the same about me/us, and I won't argue with you on that note. I usually try to make accurate observations about talent and expectations sprinkled with my humorous, at least to me, jabs. Since I live very near Whitewater, and have seen a number of games there since locating here, I think I have a little knowledge to back up those observations without being clouded by the purple haze that aflicts the avid Warhawk fan. I just want to get along. ;)

That's why I respect your comments more than the other johnny-come-lately (no pun intended) posters.  BTW, I've read somewhere where you think of what you do is that of pee (or was it, a pea - I forgot) on the mattress; I consider it to be a bump on the rug...pretty much the same thing. However, I would change this one thing - observations that are lightly sprinkled with humorous jabs. Believe me, I know humor when I see it - yours are not that funny.  Big britches? It's a two way street, my friend, it's a two way street.  ;)

I mean, really...  Only people that attend Warhawks games are qualified to see that you can't string two arguments together without tripping?  That's a particularly unfair poll tax you levy, especially considering this is the World Wide Web we are using.

We'll remember this qualification any time you discuss anything.  Unless you have personally viewed said topic multiple times (physically and with your eyeballs and all that) and have commented on it for a qualifying period (yet undetermined), then your "johnny-come-lately" opinion can be summarily dismissed.  I may have to bookmark this page.
