3 field goals @ park your junior year. Patrick Hunter couldn't compete.

Easy kicker, we all know what would have happened if it wasn't for the divine intervention at halftime i.e thunderstorm so we have to drive back home an hour then come back the next day to only play a half.....

On another note, glad to have ya on board man and you too, RacineWarhawk or whoever you are

QuoteIt is in my opinion that Linfield's inability to drain the clock at that point gave us the necessary time and momentum to come down and score the go-ahead TD (Justin Beaver).

My opinion too, Tipper.
I stated in these pages a couple of years ago was that putting Stanley on Allen was a big deal as well.

RacineWarhawk91

D.O.C.  You may already know this, but Derek Stanley was a connerback when he arrived at UWW.  That kid is one heck of a ball player.  How about the long TD pass he caught in which he stumbled but was able to keep his footing?

I remember one off season watching Stanley and Trey Bell run the 40 yard dash.  Loser had to buy pizza for the winner.  Bell ran something like a 4.43 (give or take).  Then Stanley comes up and runs a 4.29.  I never saw a man run that fast before in my life.  The look on Bell's face was priceless.

Allen was a heck of a WR.  Linfield had a WR/CB go both ways in that game as well (#3 ?) that played very well.  More than anything, I have a ton of respect for Brett Elliot because he really was everything we had heard about.  The guy was flat out amazing.  With a QB and an Offense like Linfield 2005, you really are in every game you play.  Just another reason why the 2005 UWW/Linfield game will be talked about for years.  Its really a shame the game was played in D3, it would have been an ESPN Instant Classic had the game been played in Division 1.

Actually that was my junior year, which I was injured for all season. However, that was some divine intervention.  It was my sophmore year at Park I was referring to.

Also, I'm a punter. That was for you 91. :D

AA.  You can call yourself whatever you want.  I actually laughed out loud after reading your post.

He also had time as a running back at Oregon High School. I remember him running all over Fort Atkinson in the 2002 1st round play-offs.

Work on the Perkins Stadium turf project continues full speed ahead.  Most of the concrete work that surrounds the playing field has been completed.  Yesterday they were working on the concrete walkway from the field to the SAC.  They were also leveling the playing surface in preparation for installing the material which will be beneath the field turf.   Lookin' really good and barring the unforeseen they should have no problem completing on schedule.

They were also leveling the playing surface ....

Can we save this for the next time someone comes on and says the WIAC is not playing on a level field with the rest of DIII? OK, just kidding!!!

I'm just curious what other non-UWW fans in the WIAC think is going to happen this year.... Is this the year a LaCrosse or an Eau Claire or maybe someone else knocks Whitewater off its pedestal? Or will Whitewater's recruits and transfers keep them on top the WIAC in 2008?

As much as I want to see Whitewater run the table again, I think they are going to have its hands full in conference play this year. After losing a ton of talent from last season it's going to be tough making it 4 years in a row without a conference loss. Especially doing it in the best coference in the land.

Just wanted to strike up a new topic since I haven't seen much activity over the past couple of days here.

Looking forward to a competitive 2008 season in the WIAC

I feel like the recruits will no doubt be able to help Whitewater stay on top. Do I feel they will be the difference maker?...Probably not. The big game experience is what is going to help Whitewater in the long run. Leaders like Jace, Donovan, and other past contributors know what it's like to be on top. I'm sure they'll be able to impress that on the younger recruits as camp opens up and the season begins.

However, with teams in the WIAC always on the rise; things will be more difficult than ever. Two non-conference with UWEC scares me a bit. In a manly football kind of way.

According to warhawkfootball.com, three of the four major D3 polls are out.  All three rank Mount Union College at the top.  Two of them have the 'Hawks ranked second and one has them ranked third (behind Wesley).  The only poll that I really care to read is D3football.com's, but does anyone else feel like the 'Hawks are being either disrespected or underrated (especially in the poll which they are ranked behind Wesley)?

From your comment AAHolder, I take it you've penciled in Donovan as the starter at QB going into camp? How do you see the QB position shaping up this year?  Anyone pushing Donovan for a starting role?  What's the depth look like? Certainly, whoever gets the nod will be under the microscope,  if not totally scrutinized, from day one.

Look back a few pages RW91, that can of worms was already opened...and shut...
