Is the broadcast still prohibited listening overseas?  I remember trying to connect last year and we weren't allowed. If I help provide your gas, will I be able to listen in Korea?

It was my impression that you can connect overseas, but check with BDB on that.  He is Mr. Tech and has all the answers.  If he doesn't have an answer, he makes one up.

So, that's his secret...he's one of those guys who do it with smoke and mirrors!!

BoBo, odd that you couldn't connect last year. I know we've had people listen from overseas before.

Give it another shot I guess. What time will it be there when it is 8am CDT here?

I went on to listen live, but a message box pop-up gave me bad news - part of it included:

"Licensed Content Access Request

Your IP Address: xx.xxx.xx.xxx
Due to licensing restrictions, we are not able to allow access to the content you are requesting from outside the United States."

That's too bad, it would have been entertaining to listen in.

WARHAWKS sneak by EC 16-14.  Running game going strong today as Lavelle Coppage finishes with 42 carries for 220 yards.  Donovan finishes 17/28 for 134 yards with an interception that EC returned to the 5 yard line and scored to take a 7-6 lead early in the third quarter.  However a short time later the WARHAWKS recover a EC fumble and start a 12 play, 95 yard touchdown drive and regain the lead 13-7.  Jeff Schebler's 47 yard field goal, his third of the game, provides the winning margin 16-7.  EC isn't finished however and after WW is called for illegal participation on an EC punt they go for it on the second 4th down chance and are successfull turning it into a drive that resulted in a 12 yard touchdown pass cutting the lead to 16-14.  It gets more interesting when we go three and out and EC takes over near midfield with a little over 3 minutes remaining.  However the defense stuffs EC on first down, forces an intentional grounding penalty on second down and a interception by safety Matt McCullough on third downs saves the day.  After that Coppage gets a couple of first downs on the ground and the WARHAWKS run out the clock.

The offensive line did a great job as the running game really got going.  Defensively we need to improve on 3 down as EC converted time and time again.  But they made some big plays down the stretch and overall were solid.

Lastly, how in the world do you get an illegal participation penalty after you've called a time out?  ???   It was nearly a back breaker but the HAWKS sucked it up and made plays when they had to.

I was really worried about this one and spent most of time pacing the basement floor as I listened to the broadcast.

For weeks  many have wondered who would step up at running back for the Warhawks and I suggested Levell Coppage would do a great job......42 carries 220 yards   Not bad for a true freshman against a good team in his second game.....Pound the Rock!......See everyone in a few weeks on the 4th in the Perk parking lot.....

Did Delaware Valley have a canon that emotionally disturbed the Wesley team?......

Just back from Eau Claire..gutsy performance by both the Blugolds and the Warhawks....Hawks really squandered their chance for a TD at the end of the first half with a couple of dropped or poorly thrown passes, had to settle for a field goal...and the Hawks were on the ropes somewhat early in the third when they recovered the fumble on their own five...that play was huge...after that, the middle of the line miraculously opened up and Mr. Coppage went on a roll (can we get the guy some help carrying the rock? 42 carries is a lot for his smallish size-get the boy in the weight room so he develops a "Beaver-like" body ;))

Warhawk passing game is still a work in progress....I get a little nervous during the pass plays

The defense looked good. The Blugolds took advantage of the interception and the twelve man on the field penalty but didn't muster a whole lot beyond that.

I was glad to see #23, Mr. McCulloch, get a measure of redemption with his interception at the end of the game....he must have been at fault when the Blugolds scored on their TD pass because Coach Borland almost ripped him a new one

Oh, and is Jeff Schebler money or what?

One curious thing...on a dark and rainy day...why weren't the lights turned on in the stadium ???

One more thing...the Eau Claire fans are very nice

Sarcasm?

I'll preface what I'm about to say by mentioning that my freshman trip to EC we, as the opposing team, were treated very well.  However......
I remember playing there my junior year for their homecoming.  It was crazy and much different!  As our bus was driving to the stadium that morning, there were students sitting in their front yard drinking and several of them walked up to our bus at a stop light, or as we were in traffic moving slowly, to yell obscenities and give us welcoming gestures with their fingers.  A few empty beer cans were tossed at the bus as well.  To top all that off, during the game our film guy was pelted with rocks (little rocks) while he was filming the game.  Nothing really serious....he actually was laughing about it with some of the students during the game.  After the game on the field, a couple of their fans got into it with one of our receivers, who had a very good day that day, and punches were thrown.

How awesome was that for a college game day atmosphere!!?!?!?  I remember thinking, "this is what it's all about!"  I tell you, as a player, you love that feeling.  I wish all of our games would have been that type of atmosphere.  Kudos to the EC students....they had a good time that Saturday on their homecoming.  Too bad we still ruined it by whipping them.

No, seriously, they were almost too nice...they cheered their own team and I didn't really see or hear any taunting of the Warhawk players or fans....contrast that with the atmosphere at LaCrosse last year

When the Warhawks took the field to start the game I don't think I heard a single boo...it was like a cathedral out there...very quiet (reverse pyschology?)

dallas

I believe you.  Like I said, I had one very good experience and one not so good experience at Carson Park.  The bad experience was due to it being homecoming and both teams being highly ranked at the time.  My other experiences with EC fans in Whitewater were all good.  Their players were always really good guys, too.  I can specifically remember having some great exchanges after a game with a couple of their receivers.

Playing LaCrosse in LaCrosse or at the Perk was always "different" due to the hatred of the two teams/fans....I expected it.  But the homecoming game at EC will always stand out in my mind.  What a great game!
