Yup, will be rooting on the Eagles to win their last game of the season!  That will definitely be a 1st for me!      :D

Way to move up in the Pick em's this week, BoBo, and BDB.    Tough week for me.  Stout is killing me!   :(
Seems that unpredictability in the WIAC is the only constant this season, especially now that the Warhwarks have stumbled.

Yes, thank you - we're getting down to the nitty gritty...I don't think I've ever been ahead of you, fbf413, in the pickem at any time in my life...so, I guess I'm sure to stumble this week (deja vu on the jinx?  :-\

BTW, interesting that all the winners in last weeks pickem including the wild card game were road warriors...I wonder when the last time that happened?

I hope both WIAC teams, if the WIAC does get 2 in, stay in the West.

Hope for two, you've got to be crazy.

Two is a lock when you look at the IIAC and MIAC this year.

I would hope for three teams in the playoffs if I were the WIAC.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

From past history two is never a lock.....it maybe deserved but not a lock.....

Not that anyone gives a rat's ass, but here's my thoughts on WW.

The defense is fine. Leave Borland alone, no problem.

The offense, needs to make some changes. They are real good, but, when their normal stuff doesn't work, they have nothing to fall back on. I think they need to put some reverses, draws, and middle screens in, along with some option plays. I also think they need to get Langer a lot of playing time the rest of the year, in case Donavan gets injured. Same at running back. I don't mean they should rely on the new plays, just work on them in case they are needed.

Special teams stink this year. There are tons of talented players to draw from, must be coaching. Make some changes or get some help. I would also let someone else handle the kick off duties at least till playoff time, if they make it, to help insure the best kicker in d3 doesn't get hurt.

Guess I'll do the same for my other favorite team, Oshkosh.

Defense is fine, leave it alone.

Offense......get an O coordinator.....please!!!!

C'mon lose one conference game in 3 years and they have to get new special team coaches and put in new plays.  They played bad, it happens.
They will bounce back and prove they are the best team in conference this week and next.  Uww just need to keep doing what they have been and pound the rock even harder this week.

I agree goo, but special teams has been bad all year, starting with the first game, and why not have some different things to fall back on when you do have that bad game. Donovan was under pressure all game, and they couldn't run the ball. Why just keep doing the same thing. Do something to take away the pressure. On extra points, teams are seeing something. How many were blocked or missed so far this year? Hopefully you got to take off on those special teams, but I'm sure you know how they work. What do you think is going wrong?

Interesting to see that up to 6 teams really have a shot at this one.  I am not buying that no team is unbeatable based on remaining schedules.  All teams seem to have their flaws.  I mean a LAX team could go 5-5 overall and tie for the conference championship depending on how all else palys out.  I really think the WIAC is only going to get one in the playoffs this year.  Anyone remember what the tie-breaker situation is for the WIAC champion to get into the playoffs with a tie on top of the standings assuming it is a 3-way tie?  Been a little while since we've had to look at it.

i guess I can't complain too much after the 4 years of WIAC dominance.
Revisionist history?  Whitewater was 4-3 in the WIAC four years ago.

It's just a hunch but I suspect he's including this season.

thanks, Badgerwarhawk, i was.

Hate to agree with Goo but I was thinking along the same...it was just a matter of time before the Hawks dropped one.

Agreed. That being said, along with the new O-Coordinator this year is an extremely young team starting only a couple seniors on offense. Because they are young I would expect to see steady improvement from the Offense during the season but it's not looking as though that has been happening. I expect a better game from Oshkosh this against Point. We seem to always play them tough...best of luck to the Titans this week.

That is delusional.  ;)  :)

Warhawks couldn't run...lots of pressure on Donovan...sounds like the St. Xavier game...Warhawks got it figured out after that game...time to do it again....though I agree with janesvilleflash about wanting to see some trickery every now and then

This is true. How about the other 20 leagues, though, that all are competing for the same bids?

I agree that the Hawks couldn't run the ball consistently.  Stevens Point's D played us tough, that was obvious (hats off to them).  With that being said, in the past we have been able to throw the ball when the running game is being held in check.  With throwing success comes the ability to come back to the run later when needed...at the end of the game when you need to eat up the clock and preserve the lead.  Donovan looked rattled and very uncomfortable.  A lot of that was S.P. pressure, but it didnt seem like we did anything schematically to help.  We did throw a couple bubble screens that worked pretty well. Maybe we could have stuck with those types of plays to get the ball out of Donovan's hands--before he gave it to S.P.  If Donovan doesn't perform better, UWW will end it's season well before their goals are reached.
