Congrats to the Pointers and good luck in the playoffs...and a fashion update: the white on black looked good on the Warhawks today, especially when paired with the black arm sleeves  ;D

Hopefully the Hawks will play within a few hours driving distance next week

My best guess, with today's surprises around the country, the Warhawks will probably be playing at home next week.  It won't be for me, but I hope that's close enough for you.   ;)

I told you so! I am gearing up for a WIAC/MIAC showdown. SJU vs UWW/UWSP. The Cardiac Cardinal and Blue are a resilient bunch. Let's hope they can put it all together for the playoffs. Not that I'll get much agreement here.

While it may be heresy to divert worship away from the SJU, UWW, and UWSP playoff shrine--especially on a Sunday, the final play of the OWO vs. UWRF game prompts speculation of an ethical nature.  The situation:  with two seconds on the clock, OWO has the ball on the UWRF two-yard-line.  The clock is stopped following a pass interference penalty.  The play: the Titans run a dive over left guard, which is stuffed in the hole and the runner surrounded and pushed back three or four steps at least. The whistle does not blow. The runner wrestles his arms free long enough to lateral the ball to the QB, who throws it to a receiver out in the flat who trots into the end zone.  The dilemma:  the play described is in fact a planned play and the officials have been forewarned of its coming.  What do the officials do? Give the play an extra second to enfold and therefore delay the whistle OR treat it as any other play where the whistle blows when forward progress has clearly been stopped?  (Fellow conspiracy theorists--just over a week until the JFK 45th assassination anniversary).

I smell a rat.  The fact that the officials were warned about the potential of the play happening tells me that they may have been  slow in blowing the whistle.  I know that when you are planning on running a trick play, often a coach will warn the official that said play may occur.  Planting that seed in the official's mind should probably not be allowed.

Hey Guys,
Wartburg fan planning a road trip here. Planning on a good tailgate and wondering what the pregame atmosphere is like at SP.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

See you next Saturday fellows. Can the Warhawks join Bethel as the only team (in my recollection) to beat St John's three successive times? Although the Royals beat them at St John's which is the kicker in the deal.

You'll be tailgating in the street in all likelihood as Point doesn't have much of a parking lot.
