See you next Saturday fellows. Can the Warhawks join Bethel as the only team (in my recollection) to beat St John's three successive times? Although the Royals beat them at St John's which is the kicker in the deal.

that's the plan!! ;)

This Saturday oughta be a great entree' to the '08 playoffs for the Warhawks.  The 2008 Johnnie team bears no resemblence to the '06 squad who was able to give UWW a bit of game even while sporting spectacular players at nearly every position.

I'm sure at this point in the season you've heard reported the MIAC experienced watered down results with not one team showing any particular efficiency save for offensive performances by Augsburg and Carleton. None of the conference teams are remotely close to where SJU was last year and certainly not where Bethel ended(semifinal butt whipping at the hands of MUC).

Bring on the Grovey Brew from Janesville and the Polish from Chi-town... our satisfaction will be had in the parking lot and no further than that.

Phone it in.... Warhawks complete the hat trick!

Hey Guys,
Wartburg fan planning a road trip here. Planning on a good tailgate and wondering what the pregame atmosphere is like at SP.

You'll be tailgating in the street in all likelihood as Point doesn't have much of a parking lot.

You must have parked behind the home stands. There's a big lot behind the visitors side. I've seen several tailgaters there, not sure about the booze part though.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

The field behind the south end zone is also open for parking and tailgaiting.

Typically, many alumni gathering is at Partners Pub. Just head up Minnesota Ave. (north) on Stanley Street.

Agreed, Dusty.  Little to no chance of a Johnnie win this Saturday.  They needed a last second miracle just to narrowly avoiding losing to Carleton for the first time in the history of forever.  And let's not even bring up the blown call that cost St. Thomas a shoulda-been win against St. John's and St. Olaf having a chip shot FG blocked that woulda daggered the Johnnies.  This team should have been 5-5 and really doesn't belong on the same field as the Warhawks in November.

What're the thoughts, Whitewater fans?  Do we have enough talent to drive this bandwagon to Salem again or what?

And he marches into the lion's den...  Might as well get while the getting's good:

Two Warhawks walked into a bar, sat down, and ordered drinks. They were making merry in a serious way and it was obvious to the bartender that they were celebrating something big. His curiosity finally got the better of him and he says, "I hate to be nosy, but it's obvious that you two are celebrating something big. What's the occasion?"

One Warhawk replies "Well, we are just sooo proud of ourselves, because we just finished, just the two of us alone, a 50 piece jigsaw puzzle in only 3 days."

Confused, the bartender says "So?", to which the other Warhawk says "Well, on the box it says 3 - 5 years!"

Oz, I was sure the punchline was going to be "We just drew the Johnnies in the first round of the playoffs."

Well, yeah, but that would be cutting too close to the quick for me.

Inser the IIAC and Wartburg from our side of the fence.  I am not ready to conceed a loss yet, heck I am not even a Wartburg fan, but I think the Knights will have their hands full.

It took a major choke job by my BV Beavers for the Knights to even get into the playoffs.

We don't take anyone lightly.  The staff will have the team prepared and focused on St Johns.   We'll need to play well to advance.

You need to pay attention here.... we're giving you guys this one.  Take a look at TC's post... he's just detailed SJU's sorry butt season.  Believe me, none of us are really going to enjoy driving all the way to south east Wisconsin to get smacked up side the head only to turn around and head back home for the season.  As a matter of fact you can count on about 50 people showing up for this one.

You boys didn't take long to wander over here.  Welcome back to the WIAC board!    I am sure you're right.  "Little to no chance of a Johnnies win," this weekend.  Maybe the Hawks should just take a few days off and rest up this week. ;)   ;D

No wonder from the Johnnies over here, we are just happy that the NC$$ is giving us one more game.
