The stadium is off campus, so it will be Stevens Point's Finest you'd deal with.  I've never seen them around much, to be honest.  To be safe, I would recommend going with the Plastic Red Cup as opposed to the bottle with the label.

For parking there are four options:
- Little bitty lot next to hockey arena on north end of grandstand. Usually full early as the UWSP parents often tailgate there. If there's any hockey stuff going on this one will be full for sure.
- Bigger lot on the west side (visitors side) of the stadium. It's actually the parking lot for P.J. Jacobs Middle School and Mid-State Tech College.
- Big empty field on south end of stadium. No asphalt, just grass, but typically the gate is opened for parking.
- Street parking north and east of stadium. Depending on when you get there, you can get pretty close.  I wouldn't try drinking there though.  That would seem like you'd be asking for a nosy neighbor to call the cops on you.

I would be shocked if you had any issues, as long as you don't try to enter the gate with it.

And you said you didn't feel qualified to offer any educated opinions! Obviously, you are a wealth of information regarding the important subjects!   ;)

A quick preview of the Warhawks is up at JohnnieFootball.com.

Like BG mentioned, the Warhawks look young.  That's a bad sign for the rest of the West region  :o

Not only are they young but fairly inexperienced given that 17 of last years 24 seniors were starters.

Great johniefootball site, Boys.  I check it out occasionally during the season because I am not a, "fairweather Johnnie opponent,"  only interested in you guys one week of the year!   ;)

Sorry for pulling posts up from several pages back but with the MIAC posters, miss a day and you miss a lot!!! ;D

stanbob,

You think the WIAC recognizes too many on it's all-WIAC team, watch for the NWC team to come out...less schools and twice as many players on the all-conference team!...first team will probably include 3 QB's, 6 RB, 6 WR, etc.  The WIAC team is quite few in number compared to them.  I'm sure the Linfield guys can back me up on this...

I'm pretty impressed that they selected a defensive player for Player of the Year.  That doesn't happen often.

Finally, some civility from the UWW side.... we appreciate your open mindedness.  Now with reference to the game, please ask your side to refrain from that humiliating taunt thrown our way two years ago when the f'enhiemer was invoked.  Our rather "private school" ears are still burning.

The band can't be there for NCAA tournament games.
Thats one of the lamest rules I have ever heard. I thought they were at the mary hardon Baylor ame last winter.

There's no NCAA rule against bands.

I used to work with the father of a UWW band member and asked him why the full band didn't perform during playoff games....from what he said it sounded like UWW commits the band members for the regular season...during the playoffs, the band members can voluntarily come to the games....that is why we see a pep-sized UWW band during the playoffs

Nope, it's totally natural.

You should have plenty of noisemakers after the free beer and beans prior to the game.

Not so much.  There are more Honorable Mentions, but the NWC All Conference teams are about the same or smaller than yours --- especially Defense.  Guess you have to be Offense(ive) to get recognized in the NWC.   ;D  We do have about 5 QB's on the list.

We have 7  teams now for FB with Menlo as a football affiliate.  One of these days maybe Pacific or George Fox will add football & then we'll be the same size as the WIAC in football.
