They should have practiced harder.

I know you WIACers are a little busy this week, but congrats to one of your own for getting the head coaching job in Dubuque. Stan Zweifel was announced today.

With Zweifel and Durnin now coaching two Eastern Iowa schools, maybe your non-conference travels will be a little shorter in the near future.

There was some discussion a few days ago about where Wisconsin high school players go if they don't play for the Badgers....well lots of other places in the upper Midwest in addition to WIAC schools...they just have to leave the State to play at the higher divisions

Looking at his track record of the past couple of years, I'll give him six months until he gets bored and finds a new position at another school.

Sorry if that came out mean but, it's true  :-X

This could be a case of the right person in the right place, at the right time. They just completed a 128 million dollar capital campaign that leaves their endowment at over 70 million. This past season was their first in the new football facility that trails only the Perk in facilities that I have seen in D-3. The commitment is there from the school and he is definately a great recruiter.

It would never happen so why go there. Both would always be in the same region.

Well roocru and I are looking forward to our trip to the Stagg Bowl again  this year, even though, once again, the CRU will not be there.   :'(

I'm sure we will be easy to spot in our purple gear as everyone there will be wearing purple.  However, our's will have a little gold in it and say UMHB Crusaders!   :D

We are looking forward to another great game and I am excited to see you guys in person as I was not able to watch you against UMHB this year.

And what would your prediction be for a UWW/UWSP Stagg Bowl?   ;)
There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

How about 21-14. You might recognize that score.  That would be the score when MUC lost to conference rival Ohio Northern in 05 and then went on to win the Stagg as a 1 loss team that year.  You know, the loss that served to re-focus a very young Raiders team.   ;)   ;D

It is my strong belief that Stan was never going to be satisfied until he became a Head Coach somewhere.  I think your comments are unfair to say in light of the fact that he spent 16 years at Whitewater.  He seems to have stuggled finding the right fit since then but those close to Stan know how devastating that situation was for him.  UD is absolutely blessed to have him and from the sounds of the improvements that have been made in the program, I would expect nothing but great things from the Spartans with him at the helm.

You might want to tell the maker or those notes that UW-Whitewater plays in the WIAC not CCIW - check the season schedule - [in my best j'flash] good grief!!

Now, if we were in the CCIW, would we be playing in the Stagg Bowl? __________ (insert answer)

I guess we have to win again to teach them guys a lesson!!   ;)

voice has a posting on Warhawkfootball.com about a sports bar gathering in Pewaukee for us schlubs who can't make it to Salem on Saturday.

I'm probably going to make the drive over there Saturday morning.  Anybody else going to be there?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!
