Thanks Flash!  I was on uwwsports.com earlier, but didn't click on the "downloadable rosters" link.

I still can't believe the Hawks made it this far having to replace so many seniors.  Looking at the two deep really puts this season's accomplishments in perspective.  Regardless of the outcome on Saturday, I cannot imagine anything less than a preseason #1 ranking for the Hawks in 09.  Pretty exciting times.

I know you WIACers are a little busy this week, but congrats to one of your own for getting the head coaching job in Dubuque. Stan Zweifel was announced today.

Looking at his track record of the past couple of years, I'll give him six months until he gets bored and finds a new position at another school.

Sorry if that came out mean but, it's true  :-X

It is my strong belief that Stan was never going to be satisfied until he became a Head Coach somewhere.  I think your comments are unfair to say in light of the fact that he spent 16 years at Whitewater.  He seems to have stuggled finding the right fit since then but those close to Stan know how devastating that situation was for him.  UD is absolutely blessed to have him and from the sounds of the improvements that have been made in the program, I would expect nothing but great things from the Spartans with him at the helm.

didn't intend to upset anyone...i was just pointing out how he's jumped around a lot, which I assume didn't settle well with this former employers between UWW and UD. I hope he finds something that he enjoys and sticks to it, b/c he'll be able to do wonders for a football program. After all, he's one of Whitewater's founding fathers to the success that we are experiencing today.

No worries FF413  :) :) :) :)

Or 565 posts three times in  a row? Can a computer count? It's "too many for me," as Huck Finn would say.

I wish that the system stayed with the specific post number, but it does not.  If you go through and check, you will find that every post you have ever made is now Posts: 566. :D

It would never happen so why go there. Both would always be in the same region.

The "whoosh" you heard was that comment going over your head.  Lighten up.

Just wanted to wish safe travels to everyone traveling down to Salem. Especially if you're driving, be safe with this weather coming. We moved up our departure (driving) by 12 hours cause my dad said it's supposed to start icing before the snow comes (and by extension, ice in Chicago and Indy as well, from what I've seen). >:( So just be careful, we don't want any bad reports coming in Salem.

Oh, and I'm hearing it's supposed to snow Saturday too (in Wisconsin) so be careful with that too if you're turning right around like us.

Anyways, see you all in Salem and go 'Hawks!! :)

2 great deserving young men!!  I'm baking their brownies even as I write. Both teams always get brownies.   It's beginning to smell a lot like chocolate.  But see if you all can keep that crappy weather away!!!

Planning on seeing the teams tomorrow night at the Gagliardi awards and then at the team luncheon on Friday!!  My Christmas gift to me.  WW  4 yrs in a row.  That's fantastic!!  SO PROUD!!!!
