It would be a big loss if it happens but I think RF has made the change they needed to make to bring the program back to a position where it can move into the upper half of the league and eventually challenge for a championship and that was adopting a new offensive scheme.  Now it's a matter of recruiting.   Zweifel is a very good receiver but there are other kids out there that can be just as good.  It's just a matter of their staff identifying, recruiting and selling them on being a Falcon.  Obviously easier said than done but it can be done.

According to a poster on WSN who claims to know him, Mike Z. will transfer to Dubuque to play for his Dad.

What a surprise!  (sacasm smiley inserted here.)  Even though it seems to be hearsay evidence, I figured it was just a matter of time.  Lucky for UD..................getting two Z's for the price of one.   ;)

Would that be like a full ride scholarship?  I mean, as a private school, do you think they provide a tuition break for those employed by the university (especially a hot-shot football coach)? Would that be common practice at privates (I don't know)? I gotta believe it's a pretty hefty chunk of change to attend there for the "regular" (  ;) ) student.

Two Z's is one thing, but Zzz [3 Z's] is commonly referred to as a sleeper - counting sheep, sawing wood, etc!!  ;)

I know many private schools in Wisconsin give free tuition to children of full-time employees.  It wouldn't surprise me if Dubuque was the same.

I haven't been on this board for a while so I'm not sure if this has been touched on or not. I see that former UW-O coach Phil Meyer has resigned his Minnesota o-line position this offseason after just two seasons with the gophers. Does anyone know where he might be coaching next?  ???

janesvilleflash

No idea, but the O coordinator resigned too, so he probably didn't have a choice.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Since Im kinda new to this board and my karma sucks, I was just wondering how karma is increased/decreased??

badgerwarhawk

Karma is given by other posters who have posted enough times for the function to be active.  I'm not sure how many posts you need before you have the feature.

Evidently something you've posted in your 12 posts has been unpopular with some other members. ;D

Generally I don't give karma either way but I made an exception for you.

The magic number of posts is 200 and those with the special power are only allowed to bestow negative or positive karma on another poster once in a 24 hour period.   -18 in only 11 posts, the 12th being the one asking about karma??? Well, whatever it was must have been a doozie!   ;D  If you want to raise your number, (many don't care but a lousy number can affect your credibility with some posters, IMO,) I find the key is all in the presentation.  It is a learning process and fighting the danger that can come with anonimity behind a keyboard.  +karma for you to get the ball rolling the right way.

I represent the group that doesn't care at all about karma. I don't know whether other posters think less of you as 413 suggests if you don't have much karma.....I would hope the content of your posts is the main factor in what other posters think of you and not your karma points.....

Assassin14

BadgerWarhawk I appreciate the input.  Prior to joining the site I would read the posts and wonder how karma was distributed as well.  So you just answered a question that I've been curious about for the last few years.  If I could give you some karma I would!

Assassin must have talked about moving MUC up to DII in the OAC site....they love that over there ;D

Or he could have said that he didn't like ice fishing on MIAC board.  ;)

Come on BW......You star talking about them and they will be back. Isn't the once a year when they lose early in the playoffs enough.....

footballfan413

I have done a little research reading all of Assassin14's 13 posts and I have come to a conclusion.  His problem is that half of his posts were made on the basketball board.   Now I know nothing of the BB boards as I stick to Post Patterns but it seems we maybe a much more tolerant bunch!  :) ;) :D ;D
