Warhawks up 24-0 early in fourth...Matt Blanchard has seen a few plays at QB and receiver. Dickinson St can get nothing going against UWW's defense.

Derek Stanley made the 53 man roster for the Rams.

RF played well today, but made one too many mistakes. Leading 28-24 with 8:30 on the clock, RF fumbled on their own 29 allowing the Johnnies to take their first lead at 28-24 with 4:01 left.

The stats showed a very even game: 391 -390 total yards advantage for SJU. All other stat categories  about that close.

RF has weapons they did not have a year ago:  Eric Brewster, WR; Taylor Edwards, RB; Ahmad Palmer, RB; Wade Schlicting, WR; Ryan Luessenheide, QB, Ryan Hansen, TE. The D produced several sacks of the Johnnie QB and generally gave a good account of themselves.

Thanks fbf413...the outlook is looking brighter each day.

BTW, have you seen the size of the boys coming to Whitewater next week?
Here's an example from Midland Lutheran College:

#79 Everett Corley  OL 6'9" 416 Freshman Washington D.C.

I assume 'OL' means he "IS" the offensive line, but it doesn't clearly indicate that on the roster.

Some serious beef on the Warriors.  Hey - that's a politically incorrect name!

(A bit of applause for Midland)   :)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Fred.  We had John O'Grady on our show Sat. morning and he, like you, really thinks RF will be better this year.  He also had some really classy responses regarding losing players like Owen Schmidt and Mike Z.  It being about players best interests and all.  Your guy is a class act.  I think Stout will be better as well.  Coach Naatz has his guys believing in his system.  It will be no nonsense offense and physical defense.  The running tandem of Warminiski and Concepcion I wouldn't trade for anyone in the league.  Fiege, the stud from MHS is back at linebacker, his best position, and I think will be outstanding there and will light up the special teams as he did in high school.  Should be a fun year.

Congrats to all for a WIAC sweep this weekend.   With the fight RF put up against the Johnnies and the decisive win by Oshkosh over Ripon, parity is alive and well in the conference and we showed, once again, that we deserve our, "toughest conference in D3," title!
