They brought in 11 different players and signed just one and it was not D. Stan.

Thanks DBG...I don't like the Lions anyway  ;) !!

Not a comment about this subject but I have been meaning to comment about your video. I especially like the block in the back at the end of the play.
It also was ALSO done with emphasis and style right in front of the official. ;D
Ya, a bonehead move that was appropriately called by that official but sometimes, your enthusiasm just gets the better of ya!   ;)

In the Week #5 and latest installment of the D3Football Top 25, I see where a defection has taken place in regards to first place votes.  Mount's loss is UWW's gain.   ;)  :D  ;D  La Crosse's win has them continuing their upswing. Eau Claire drops out completely after their loss at UWSP, but at the same time, Point sees their vote total shrink from 21 to 11 (#38 overall in the others receiving votes area) with the win over the previously higher ranked Blugolds.  No other WIAC's receiving votes.

Just wanted to give John O'Grady some credit.  I have to believe the vast majority of coaches would have gone for the tie and put the game into double overtime.  But O'Grady decided to roll the dice and go for the win instead.  Unfortunately it didn't work out but I give him alot of credit for trying.

I have to disagree with BW because I am guessing the coach chose against the tie as his Kicker already failed a PAT attempt and a FG attempt.    I have been on both the winning side and losing side of going for two and I feel that coaches should try to extend as long as possible to show full faith in the team as opposed to the let's knock them out now mentality.

Of course I don't know what O'Grady was thinking and you could be correct.  But his kicker was 9-10 kicking extra points and 5-6 kicking field goals going into the game.  That's losing faith pretty quickly.

I give Coach OGrady credit for doing what he did, A) the kicker wasnt having a good day, b) the last few years, RF has had less than dependable kicking, so OG probably didnt even wanna chance it.  C) RF has never won in that stadium, so why not take a shot!  Had there been some protection on that play the falcons would have won, they had a tight end wide open in the endzone, but the qb got sacked!  I don't even question what he did, its just too bad they couldnt convert!

Lets credit the Stout defense for making a great play on the RF qb in overtime. I agree with Coach O'Grady's decision - with the chance to "steal one" on the road - lets go for the two.  Fits in with his philosophy over the years.

Yes indeed, much credit to the Blue Devil Defense!

Quote2140 Days since Michigan had a victory over OHIO STATE and counting.

I, too, have been meaning to comment about your signiture line.  If I can't get on this message board to see how many days it's been for Michigan to beat OSU, I'm always able to see it on the Columbus Dispatch webpage. I realize you're not copying them or vice versa because there is a discrepancy in the math - the Dispatch lists it as 2145 days as of today, while you say 2140. I'm wondering what is the correct number? Either way, that's a long time.

Note to football fans:

When your favorite part of a play is one of your own players taking a shot in the back with "emphasis and style".... you know the rest of the play didn't go real well for you.

Note to football fans:

When the video playing in your signature line is from 1.5 years ago you may want to update your profile.  ;)

Additional note to football fans:

When the years listed on your signature line go back 29 years or more  ::) (especially when announcing to the world a conference championship), it's completely authorized, appropriate & acceptable for anyone to show a :10 video clip of one the best annihilations of a defensive back from a running back at the end of a 60 yard run in Stagg Bowl championship game history, ...oh from 1.5 years ago.   ;)   ;D

Note taken, I'll just list the National Championships from now on!  :)

I actually stole that idea from some other poster (I think a Johnny fan).

stanbob, are you referring to the wimpy "hit" in the back on Mount's #27 after Beaver was on the ground and the whistle blew (if you remember it was a dead ball foul)?  To answer your question, no - that was delivered by a #3, a wide receiver, not a running back. And for the record, so you don't have to come by to repeat this again (I think this is the second time around for you), I've been "blocked" in the back harder in a flag football game for guys 50 and over than that little love tap.  After chasing Beaver for 45 yards or so, the wind could've knocked him over.

k'dad - I know what you're talking about...nice of you to change - but since you still have years listed from over 15 years ago, I still think a video clip from 1.5 years ago is OK.  I might consider taking the video off and putting up something like:

Co-Champion of the 2008 OAC Pickem Contest

How would that be?...more recent and it is a championship (and not from 1993)!!  ;)
