Beaver released from the Saskatchewan Roughriders. tough to compete with former DI running backs...

Best of luck to him

I don't think it was due to Beaver's size (as has been talked about before) because the guy they signed to release Beaver was only 5'9' and 190 lbs, which is very similar to Beaver.   :-\

Can someone tell me if they broadcast the Warhawk games at a bar/restaurant in Whitewater? If so, which ones? I am coming to the game tomorrow with some friends who may not be willing to sit out in the rain if it rains (wusses!).

KitchenSink

Will Antwan get a carry tomorrow?

Will Blanchard still be wearing that darn boot?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

BoBo

Don't know much about those things K'Sink, but one thing we can bet on, former UW-W Warhawk Matt Turk will be punting for the Houston Texans this weekend & if it were up to him, for another 7 years, too. The article is from Michael Hunt of the Journal-Sentinal. Currently 41 years old, he says he hopes to play until age 48 years & 110 days to break George Blanda's record!!

I believe the telecast of the game can be seen at the Coyote Grill downtown on Center St.

Pretty much all the bars show the game. Just ask as soon as you walk in to be sure.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I know for a fact that the Coyote Grill has the game on 8)

Thanks for the info about bars. I'll sit out in almost any type of weather to show my fanhood (and have for Warhawk games!). I'm bringing a couple of friends that have never been to a Warhawk game. Hope the weather holds.

No call for rain tomorrow so let's hope that doesn't change.  The best TV viewing is at the Mad Boar, IMO.  They have several large flat screens with ample seating in front of them.  It is right across the street from the Coyote Grill which only has a few smaller TV's but definitely has the best food.   :)

Not running Beaver down but that is pretty lame isn't it.  Fred Jackson has competed with them all.  He had to pay some dues but worked his way to Buffalo.  If Beaver has the heart, time, and patience there is no reason he wont be back.

Jackson is an exceptional talent.  But he is, exactly that, the exception.  Aside from Jackson how many DIII running backs are there in the NFL?  I don't know of any.

I don't know of any.  But as I said Jackson paid some dues at the lower levels and worked his way to that position.  He didn't get drafted or even a free agent contract out of school.  He play AFL and another indoor league.  He earned it much the same way as Beaver will have to do if he will make it as a pro.
