I have to agree. As a WW fan I was embarrassed with the last series of the game. First I thought the pass was uncalled for, and the hurry up to run the last play was even worse. I'm all for trying to get the other qb's some meaningful snaps, as well as all the backup players, but they could have gone in the prior series for that purpose.

Speaking of backup qb's, is Blanchard out for the year? They were trying to get him meaningful snaps during games early. They really need one of them to be ready to step in, but not at the expense of acting like dicks running up the score.

Blanchard was dressed and participated in pre-game warmups. Maybe just not quite ready to participate in the games unless necessary.

I think Voice (or Gary) made a comment during the game that Blanchard was warming up on the sideline in the 4th. I figured he would of replaced Jeff, but it didn't turn out that way.

No need to put him in and run up the score   :D

Many on the MIAC board are thinking that the only way we see another SJU/UWW is if they put MTU in the east, UWW in the  north and SJU as #1 in the West.

do we really need to witness another one of those?...on a more serious note,  IF MUC is moved east, UWW north and Wesley south, the west champion (SJU, Central, Linfield, Monmouth, Oxy,   :o) would probably be seeded 4th overall (like 2007) and would have to beat #1 overall Mount in Alliance to play UWW, seeded #2 overall, IF they get through the north, and the south champion (Wesley ~ again, oh boy  ::)  ;) ), in Salem for the national championship. Follow all that? Those are a lot of IF's but I predict UWW doesn't get a chance to host anyone from the West region at the Perk this year, unfortunately, since it's always nice to beat up on your neighbors.  ;D

BTW, now I know who all the old farts on this board are...thank you for your responses!! Peter tork is actually part of the Tork to Dolenz to Nesmith double play combination ~ Jones was a utility player.  Didn't quite have a ring like Tinker to Evans to Chance.  :D

no way they will put MUC and UWW on the same side of the bracket...as much as the rest of the DIII football world would love that...right MHB fans???

I can't recall if it has ever been officially announced this way, but the procedure seems to be:

1. select the 32 teams
2. name 4 #1 seeds
3. build the geographically-cheapest brackets around those 4 #1s (perhaps attempting to balance the strength of the brackets as much as possible, as long as it doesn't increase plane flights)

DH, I believe they seed the regions at the beginning of the playoffs...I remember it this way because last year it was said that UWW would have gone to W & J, had they beat UMHB in the south region final and UWW beat Wartburg in the west region final.  UWW was seeded higher in the west than W & J was seeded in the south, but the seeds were based on the region seeds, not the individual team seeds.

Ah yes! that famous passing tandem, Peter Tork to Mickey Dolenz.

A friend has posed the possibility of going to Stevens Point, but I think we'll wait until the playoffs and stay closer to home. Park the Perk!

Many on the MIAC board are thinking that the only way we see another SJU/UWW is if they put MTU in the east, UWW in the  north and SJU as #1 in the West. A lot of "ifs" there. And before I'm corrected, I know that when they seed, it's not technically North, South, East and West, but just easy shorthand for me.

JohnnieEsq starts the west region love-fest off in high fashion with his unofficial preview.

BoBo: I wonder because say MUC gets upset in the East Region. Is that brackets winner still the #1 seed in the quarterfinals, youd think theyd drop and UWW would assume the 1 seed. This is assuming that they would seed after the regional finals.

Either way, you gotta beat everyone at some point.

Dutch,
Don't you know the reason Mount is always sent to the East is because the NCAA wants to be sure that Mount has the easiest path to the Stagg Bowl. Right fellas? ;D

We only have to play one game a year. ;)

I'll repeat what I said earlier, they seed before the playoffs begin - they don't go changing seeds if a top seed falls.  No tournament I know of, either team or individual draws, does that. If Mount goes east and UWW north, I believe the seeds will be similar to '07 - east, north, south, west - in that order.  Bethel in '07, the west region champion went to Alliance and...well had some trouble  :'(. Let's face reality, no one in the east region is going to beat Mount - so let's just eliminate that possibility right now.  The only possible upset of Mount will be Otterbein in a couple weeks.  If that were to happen, and I wouldn't bet anything on it, the Otters would win the OAC. In that case, they could get the #1 seed in the north with Mount moving to the east as #1 and your worst fears, UWW staying in the west as #1 (if they take care of SP).  I reckon, everybody in the west, including your team, SJU, Linfield, etc. are trying to picture a bracket that doesn't go through Mount or the Perk.  But, unless you get upset help, I don't see it happening. Just my $.02  ;)

Sorry for the repitition there Bobo.

Of course Id rather not go through Alliance before Salem. Given the choice Id take going to UWW and liking our odds better there. Not a slam by any means to the Warhawks, great team that handled us pretty easily in 05, but that was 4 years ago. Id like another shot ;)

Definitely going to be interested in the outcome of UWSP vs UWW this weekend.
