River wins v. 'Ville 31 -28 in OT. Nice 95 yard drive by the Falcons to tie it on the last play of regulation.

Third time is the charm.  They finally got an overtime to end in their favor!  Good for the Falcons..............and my pick em's!    ;D

#1 team in the region....huh?   ::)    ;)

Quite the aerial assault by the Pointers today. Besides his ill-advised pass up for grabs that was intercepted to start the game, Beckwith showed some pretty good accuracy. His receivers didn't help him in many cases when they flat out dropped the ball (including a sure touchdown that was dropped on their second possession of the game).  Pointers were launching the long ball all day, and a couple of times it worked out for them.

Some of the most exciting parts of the game involved the Pointers punting game. Jenkins punted it into the back of his own blocker once and the Warhawks blocked it another time.

Good showing by the Warhawk faithful. Maybe 40% of the crowd were Warhawk fans. And we were loud. Stomping on metal bleachers can be very noisy!

And once Coppage gets into the open field, Wow!

If Oxy wins tonight I would think Linfield would still stay #1 in the region regardless of our defensive stinker today.

When the seeding is done Whitewater will be the number one either in the west or north...everybody knows that.  Sorry that you guys are kicking your feet over numbers/rankings that don't mean jack three weeks from now.

glad to hear that White was able to get his first sack today...long over do

I think you have to give special teams player of the week to Jeff Schebler just for the tackles he made on kickoffs.

Oh, come on, WC11.    02 and I were just having some fun.  We know all about the math that drove the 1st rankings..............and we're not losing any sleep over it.   ;) 8)

Nicely put, BG.  Many on the UWW side were saying how we matched (or nearly so) the SP fan count.  That was surprising.  Wind wasn't much of a factor, at least towards favoring one end - it went across the field.  A few too many guys getting open deep behind Hawk secondary.  But outside of the pick, UWW offense pretty unstoppable.  Nice to see Antwan getting carries, but Coppage is the MAN.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I'm not sure what I was worried about.  That was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Not me.  Revenge is a dish best served cold.  Never doubted a win and was pretty sure it would be a convincing one!  We know this team is a talented one so it comes down to the mental side every game and I knew that would be solid for this one.   ;)

That's what killed them in the Stagg Bowl last season....however, there are few teams in the country that have that kind of fire power, outside Shorts and Jenkins.
