I'm old enough to be removed in time and emotion, so my "dislike" for the Tommies has mellowed, and I will, at least for now, remain neutral. If they get to the semis, I will back them (somewhat unenthusiastically) against any other "Purple" team. I may get tired and have to take a nap after all my bandwagon jumping

So you just want a very short ride on the bandwagon.  :)

Life's complicated. I'm guessing I won't have to make that decision.

Curiously, as I sit here, I'm listening to a feature on WISN out of Milwaukee, called Green Bay Grapevine. The guest and host are talking about how the Packers had such a tough time after getting out to a big lead, and the"expert" says, You just don't see a score in the NFL like the 70 - 7 Whitewater -  Lakeland score.

Opening hunting weekend plus a first found walk-in-the-park was going to insure a low turnout.  Thanksgiving will also hurt the attendence this weekend, I suspect.  Does every year but it will pick up in round 3 and 4 IF we get there.   :)

Retagent, never too late to jump on our bandwagon.  I, myself, am considering jumping on the Kohawks wagon.  ;) :D ;D

I'm one of those regular attendies who can't make the game due to thanksgiving this weekend..I'll be visiting my family in IL, so I won't be able to make it.  :'(

On that note, does anyone know if they game will have a live video feed? I plan on bringing my laptop down to atleast listen (hopefully watch) the game.

Goo 62

As I have said many times this year.  THE PARTY IS OVER AT ST. JOHNS.  Time for the legend to call it quits.  Just winning your conference isnt working and frankly its making D3 football a little boring.

Why don't you post that on the MIAC board then and see how well it is received?

Privately a lot of SJU fans are saying the same thing as Goo 62.  Maybe the Johnnies should start wearing pads in practice?

He does not care. He knows they will see it here. I'll take a 10-0 season and not call it boring.

It's just a hunch but I suspect Goo could care less how well it is or isn't received.  :D

Goo 62

Pads might work.
Or a fresh new face.
10-0 and upset in the first round after being ranked #4 not a typical Johnnies season.  It used to be Mt Union and St Johns.  Then it was Mt. Union, St. Johns and UWW now its UWW and Mt. Union.
BORING

When I want, or listen to, Goo's opinion, it'll be the day he actually grows up and becomes an adult. I'm not holding my breath.

Once again it's just a hunch but I suspect this is another thing Goo could care less about.  ;)

Cheers to all from the warm coast. Nice roll up Warhawks. Hard to gauge anything by that game. Strange that the Penn Atlantic broadcast was delayed. Anybody know why? Donovan looked as cool as the other side of the pillow. Could it be the QB assistant coach has zenned some karma  8) The running game, well, running on all cylinders. De-Fense is stout no reference to Stout which wasn't.  Any takers that Schebler kicks in the NFL next year. What a career especially considering some of the weather he has kicked in.
At any rate the Stealth clan would have to mortage the house to get a flight to next game which I think will be a tough one for the Hawks. So we are skipping all x-mas purchases and time our travel to Whitewater for later rounds, football gods permitting. Could it be possible that U-WW and UMHB happen again in the semi's ? I know, I know, one game at a time but.....
Bobo do they have kimchee turkey in your neck of the woods ?
Nice story, while shopping for T-giving I had my championship sweat shirt on and some guy came up to me and said he was a UWW grad from 98 so of course we chatted for awhile and all of the sudden another guy came by with a Eu Clare hat on.  Well needless to say it was quite the love fest in the aisle but not in a gay way, of the super market even though the Eu Clare guy had a firm grip on the summer sausage. Invited the fellows over to watch the game this week. Brats and beer. And this is 3k miles away.

All the best to you and yours for a joyous and safe T-Giving.

I'll apologize for my previous flippant posts, and explain a little of my reason for having a bit of a short fuse on that subject.

First "voice", Who have you been talking to? There has been speculation about JG's eventual departure, and who will succeed him, but I don't know of too many who are looking forward to that event.

Second, I would ask all of you to contemplate for a while the recruiting job Gagliardi does at St John's. His recruiting pool is much smaller than that of UWW, for example. It is an expensive, private, Catholic college, that is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere.  There are any number of D II schools in Minnesota and the Dakotas that can also attract premier athletes with scholarships. Most of the other competing MIAC schools have the lure of a large city environment, or proximity to a large city. There are, I would maintain, not too many young high schoolers who will be drawn to the SJU environment. Many who visit, do see the attraction, but I'm sure there are quite a number who dismiss it from their lists without even visiting. I know there is one player on the UWW roster, David Leaf, who would have been a prime candidate to go to SJU. I went to high school with a number of his relatives. Whitewater and Collegeville are about equidistant from his home town. A couple of his contemporaries go to SJU. It would be interesting to know why he chose UWW over St John's, but I would guess it would be a combination of the above reasons.

Look at the SJU roster and see how many are from fairly close to the campus. Taking all that into consideration, I would say he gets a lot out of what he has.

My guess is there are some who feel like it's time for John to call it quits, but the majority would be loyal to him.  Those looking forward to a change are possibly people who had been spoiled by JG's success! As long as his health holds out, I'm sure it will be JG's decision when to go and I think most would agree that is only right.
