I believe it was.  I wanted to find the pic of the field the week before the Wesley Semi in 05 but the site didn't go back that far.  And then there was the actual blizzard in 07 against Wabash when it started snowing about 10:00 and had 1 1/2 inches on the field by kick off.  Those poor fans barely made it back with their lives driving home after that game.  They had to snow plow the yardage lines several times during the game. Our Cali QB threw 4 TD's in that game, I believe.  ;D Nothing like having to shovel before you can start your tailgate.  Ah, football in Wisconsin in December!  But who knows, been unseasonable warm around here so far these last few weeks.  Maybe we can make it through without the white stuff.  :D

JINX!!  Here it comes now ....
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Speaking of snow blowers and sideline heaters, if we are lucky enough to host the semi's, let's hope the Perk looks like this. ;D

Of course, this would have a greater effect if the opponent is the Cats.  The Tommies might not bat an eye. Although, they don't have a lot of experience playing this late in the year.   ;)

That'll be great!!! I would love a little snow for a UWW game.....Makes the game more enjoyable..not to mention the tailgating!   8)

Nothing in the forcast this weekend but cold and PAIN!!!!!!

Coming back from Nebraska to watch the boys in Round 3...I should hold off til Round 4...but then I thought to myself...sure WW's great and went to 4 national championships in my 4 years at school...but anything can happen in the playoffs...so I figured I'd come home on a 5 day weekend and watch some D3 football...and hit up the MNF game...2 wins would be amazing this weekend!!!

The winner of the WHITEWATER/Wittenberg game will host the semifinal game.  Linfield or St Thomas will travel.

TO any UWW fans:

Is there going to be free food and beer in that parking lot pavilion???

OshDude

Not sure where to put this, but Oshkosh is apparently going to start drug testing its athletes. The linked story is short on answers to obvious questions, but I'm curious how many other D-III schools, WIAC or otherwise, have formally adopted an in-house drug testing program for all sports. Probably a naive question, but is it now the norm in D-III?

Bleed. Great job on the blog. The offensive line has always been strength at UWW, which as always gets overshadowed by the "skilled" positions.
I see DLK aka "Mr. Whitewater is giving away free tickets to students who rent from them. Do a lot of the student athletes still rent from him??? That's how it was when I went to u dub-dub. That is a very nice gesture of him to do. As the university owes him a lot and he owes the university a lot as well.
Go get Wittenberg this weekend to set up the showdown with Linfield.

It's not just him. ResidenceLife is giving away tickets to students in the dorms and two other areas on campus are giving away tickets to any students (my friends and I already got our free tickets).

And nobody thinks of DLK as "Mr. Whitewater". In fact most people hate the guy and consider him a slumlord. I met him on the bus ride up to the game against Lax and he seems like a nice guy (paid for the entire bus's lunch at Old Country Buffet) but the guy's a horrible landlord.

I was being sarcastic when I said that. I hated the guy as well as I would always stay at my boyfriends apartment and he almost kicked him out because of it as he claimed there was some BS code that if there was only one person on the lease only one person could stay there at night. My boyfriend hated him as he was always saying that he would rent his apartment to someone else the following school year if he didn't come sign a lease and this was four weeks after school started

Anyways good luck this weekend

Only two more possible chances to tailgate at the Perk for football.....Stepping away from Italian beef this Saturday and going with brats, kraut, and maybe a little chicken....Read everything about wittenberg but uncomfortable since never seen them play. Pound the Rock with a lot of Coppage and a little Anderson and let's get ahead early. No engagements on the scoreboard from us this week just football and we hope another monkeystomping..............Pound the Rock!!....

Getting hurt might be a little too strong....maybe just dream of Cecil Shorts (their best player) over sleeping for the game.   :D  ;D

*If we get that far  ;) *

Stop taking Ambien, Boiler!  ;D I know you're just messing around, but the Mount guys are just like our guys. They are just wearing the wrong shade of purple! Let's hope BOTH teams win 2 more and UWW can play them again with both teams at full strength. Winner take all, leave the excuses at the gate. The Hawks can do it!
