Beaver runs about a 4.5-4.55 range not that fast but very shifty, sort of like Casey from what I see. ;)

Beaver kind of reminds me of Chuck Moore from Mt. Union.  Not big, not fast.  Just hard to tackle and has a little extra when he needs it.

slide-d-dog-storm,

Don't be surprised if you see three3's in an NFL uniform in the not too distant future.  I have a feeling he is pretty solid at breaking down game film.

OregonCityCat99

Yeah, no kidding.  Apparently winning 23 games in a row, 50 of 52 and being the Defending National Champs isn't at a high enough level.  How many times has WW been to the quarterfinals anyways??

I can say with certainty that the Cats will not score 31 pts on this "D".  My prediction will come tomorrow after another day of film.

3c's,
You must be watching a different set of films than the one's I have been watching.  :o

Cats will score 31 and hold ww to 14 as of todays line.  Are you ready to put up or ??
;D
We will see how things go after practice films tonight. It's cold wet and more cold.  but that's from the sunshine boy how is  the smog man?  :o  azcatdaddy send some warm weather please.. ;)

In addition to being slow and average, I hear Hazenberg has a club foot, Keck is crossed eyed, and Allen has irritable bowel syndrome, so the Warhawk DBs probably need not worry much.
I'm picking up some sarcasm here... ;D
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

WOW, I love when they throw history at us.  Ask the Johnnie posters how well that work for them!!! ;) ;)

so, like all fans do when playing teams they're unfamiliar with.  We compare results against common opponents.  Now I know that UWW is "faster" this year.   But what else is that much different... than last year?  You guys lost 35-10 to LAX last year.  LAX comes to our place and we blast them 52-14 or something like that.

Congrats on a great season.... but smash mouth, balanced attack, faster, beaver ....etc.  I don't see you guys being able to cover our 5 flat (wind aided) receivers... they're sneaky fast.

When I am saying a higher level I mean like Elliot did (play D1 and start), and when I said they have reached their potential.  I was saying that they don't look like a bunch of outstanding athletes that could go on and keep playing ball (like an elliot).  There are some very good athletes on the team, but most are just like other D3 athletes "hungry and play with a lot of heart" nothing to knock their game I played in D3.  If you would have read the other part I said that they looked really good on film.

Three3's:  Are you a coach / player?  If not, how do you have access to the films?

I am a former player for the university that sometimes helps out with the secondary.

spiritof86: What d3 team has a bunch of guys "capable of playing at higher levels"?

No team has this on their roster, but the way your team has been described by many I was expecting to see that on film.  You seem worried about the quote, just because I said that doesn't mean I don't think they are good d3 player. They play this game to be the best that they are not making it to the NFL so that is not something they should take offense to.  I just made a statement based on how people talk about all the talent that is on that team. They are beatable just like St. John was or we are that was my point!

my perdiction since it is requested is

Whitewater 36  Linfield 19

footballfan413

Maybe we could take a look at this from another angle.  The main focus of discussion seems to be on how UWW's defense will stop Linfield O.  Granted, will be the biggest challenge of the season for the Hawks.  Let's look at the flip side which is Linfield D will also have to stop the UWW offense.  According the the NCAA stats as of Nov, 26, Linfield is ranked 8th in Total Offense and UWW is ranked 9th! WOW, pretty close, huh?   So it will really come down to whose defense can stop or atleast slow down the other's offense more.  Now let's look at the NACC stats for defense for a clue:
                                     UWW                                                Linfield
Total Defense:         Not ranked in top 35                     Not ranked on top 35
(Probably because, both teams put up such high numbers that the starters rarely played much in the 2nd half.  True for both teams.)

Rushing Defense:               #32                                                  #17
Passing Defense:               #27                                       Not ranked in the top 35
Scoring Defense:                #13                                                    #18

Linfield does holds the edge in rushing D but UWW has the edge in passing and scoring D.  One other stat is interesting:

Records of opponents:         45/31                                            15/39
But that is for 10 games for UWW and only 8 for Linfield   Still, the numbers do seem to support the fact that while both are undefeated, UWW did it in what is considered a much tougher conference.

Now we all know, stats are meaningless on game day!!  But so is history and since Foss mentioned that the one thing Cat fans won't tolerate is the smash-mouth talk which I, for one, intend to honor.  Well, the Hawk fans won't tolerate the "you don't have a good play-off record or a winning tradition" crap!  To quote Gigs Harbor Cat,  heard it before, blah, blah, blah!!  Only the 2005 teams will take the field on Saturday.  It should be a hell of a game!!

The Realist

Wow,

So much for saving the good stuff until the end of the week.  Yes, yes, yes, I love it all, the true hate and smack talking has just begun!!!

The Realist

Anyway,

Let's all be honest fellas, no one knows what's going to happen on Saturday.  UWW could come out and fumble the ball 100 times just like St. John's did, or it could go into triple OT.  Yes, UWL got killed last year out there, but this is this year and it's not weather you win or lose it's how you play the game right guys?

Yeah, whatever.........feed the hate and keep the jawwing up.  Hopefully, for WIAC guys like myself, UWW wins and then I guarantee no ungreatful Cat posters from Linefield will be on this site.  But, if UWW loses, I don't think I'll be posting until Christmas is over!! haha

coco

Realist,

You think that IF Whitewater beats us, the Wildcats won't be on here congratulating you? HA!
That shows what a newbie you are. We ALWAYS come back and congratulate the winner. It's just what we do.

The Realist:

I wasn't really hating .. i was asking... what is so different between this year and last?  I think it's a fair question.. if LAX waxed US last year by that much, you'd probably wonder why we're so much better THIS year.  I just started posting , but you're right i hated reading all the posts from Cobbernation predicting that they'd hold the ball for 60 minutes in their four corner offense and beat us with a touchdown as time expired..... then he disappeared.

I fully intend to come on here and congratulate the winner as well, whoever it may be.  Let's face it!!  We all want the Stagg Trophy to stay in the West, right?   I would just prefer if UWW brought it home, ha!! ;D ;D

UWSP 7   Linfield 45
UWSP 12 UWW 44

If you want to go common opponents, at least pick a game this year.  From the looks of this, Saturday should be relatively close.

However, from an unbiased observer, I think the Cobbs gave Linfield the wakeup call they needed on their Quest for Two.  I see the Cats winning by 17 if not more.
