Saw this on the OAC board and I don't think it has been posted here.  D-3 Coordinator of the Year.  Get to voting UWW and WIAC fans for Zebrowski.  Right now the Wittenburg coach is leading the pack.

Some Mount fan did post this here, 413...I think they were either trying to get us to vote for the Mount guy (LK jr.) or the Mount guy (Zebrowski) - I couldn't really tell.

Nope, it was JK, he is a "Capital Guy".  Although he did grow up just outside of Alliance.

Out of curiosity and lack of wanting to look it up myself:
What sort of crowd attendance does WW pull each Saturday?

according to ncaa.com they averaged 5,387 in 2008...2nd to St. Johns who topped 7,000

in 2008 WW would have ranked 75 out of 118 FCS schools in attendance...

this years home game attendance numbers (according to the WIAC website)

Midland Lutheran (NE) 5569
Puget Sound (WA) 4127
UW-Platteville 9157
UW-Eau Claire 4017
UW-River Falls 8169
UW-Oshkosh 5040

Interesting to note, the largest playoff crowd came against Wesley in the 05 semi-finals, 5,840, following the heavy snow storm in the days preceeding the game.

Seriously Luaville. I expect UWW to summon up the courage to show up on Saturday. And when they do, they will show you what they bring to the football field. And heading the list will be an absolute absence of fear. I promise.

Gentlemen, that's exactly why we play THE GAME. All of you must know the week leading up to THE GAME is as much psychological as it is physical. If you believe for a moment UWW is a program that doesn't exhibit fundamentally sound, intelligent, quick and determined football players, then you have a problem.

You and I can no longer play, or coach, the game we love so lets play mind games.

Let's rationalize, let's convince ourselves that our team "will" win. You, as UWW posters, as I, as a proud Linfield alum, believe in our programs, but to presume either team (at this point in time) is incapable of winning is absurd. Did the 05 WarHawks show up in McMinnville (as underdogs) expecting to lose? As I remember, the 05 clash lives in the annuals as one of the greatest DIII games ever played and it propelled UWW to the level of play to which you have grown accustomed.

Fear drives a person to excel, to exceed expectations. Don't believe me? Some of the posts on this and the NWC forums are classic. Keep up the good work... I'm enjoying it.

P.S. I think Summerfest in Milwaukee is the greatest.

Having a SENSE of fear is a good thing....ACTING fearful is not.

In regards to the Perkins Stadium field conditions are concerned follow a foot of snow overnight, Warhawkfootball.com is reporting this evening..
"Thanks to our admistration and campus grounds crew the heavy, wet snow has been removed from the playing field," UW-W coach Lance Leipold explains.

"The crew spent nearly 10 hours today (Wednesday) clearing the snow off the FieldTurf playing surface."

The Warhawk baseball team will work on cleaning snow from the seating areas of the stadium later in the week.

At this point the turf is not frozen however temperatures will plumet with a low near zero tonight.

Here is a Warhawkfootball.com video of the field conditions following snow removal

Note the final few seconds of the video showing crews removing snow to get the Cannon Man up to his spot on the hill overlooking the Stadium.

So, wouldn't it have been better to keep the snow on the playing field until Friday to keep it from freezing?

It's suppose to get well below zero tomorrow.  The snow was wet, heavy stuff.  If it had been left on the field it would have frozen solid and been near impossible to remove.

Great video.  Looks picture perfect for a football game.  I'd give anything (except pay a $1100 flight) to be able to see the game.
