QuoteI think regardless of the MUC qb situation, the winner of this past weekend will be able to hand a loss to the mUC dynasty this next week.

::)

What did I tell you.........OBVIOUSLY the quasi-Stagg Bowl was played in Whitewater last week.  Sigh.......

HScoach

Hmmm, so Mount is heading to Virginia with the following players out:

QB Kurt Rocco:  #1 ranked passer in D3
Joe Millings:  OAC's defensive lineman of the year and their most dynamic defender
Scott Panchik:  starting TB

To even things up, how about Whitewater pulls Donovan, Coppage and their best defender?  If Whitewater is really that good, they shouldn't have a problem kicking our butts on an even playing field, right?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Is that official?  It looked to me like Rocco probably got a concussion.  Is there a mandatory amount of time he has to stay out?  I'm sure if it was up to him he'd be in.

No one asked Kmic to sit down last year when Coppage was down ....
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I'll make a prediction that, none of  us on these boards will know if Kurt Rocco will play until 11 AM on Saturday!!!!!!! :-\

Isn't my problem that you weren't smart enough to ask  ;D

EVEN the Mount can't find a Kmic on the bench every year! ;D

HScoach, I haven't gone back to check, but I'm pretty sure someone DID request the benching of Kmic to make up for Coppage's absence (though I'm not sure MUC's 'backup' was the equal of Anderson).

Actually, it wasn't that we weren't smart enough to ask, but rather, just the exact opposite!!  ;)  (now who's being Ed McMahon?)

BTW, hscoach, on a more serious note, I was wondering, when was the last time, if ever, have you had a spread with Mount the dog by so many points (+13.5) in the OAC pickem? Would this be a record # of points? I'm too lazy to go back and check.  :)

i was listening to espn radio wisconsin out of milwaukee & some guy called in & claimed Mtl Union offers scholarships while Whitewater doesn't because they are a state school.  Last time I checked, no DIII school can offer scholarships, private or public

Yeah, all of Mount's kids are on full rides.  They were D-1 prospects, but are academic rejects.

Exactly. But I'll tell you something right now, Whitewater will open this game in the single wing. Phone it in!

Mount is doomed........hopefully I get to hang with some WW guys and get some of that winning spirit BEFORE the game......because afterwards I think it's going to be pretty sad.

So, Skunk. Why so down on your team. Yes, UWW is probably the slightly better team this year, but it doesn't mean Mount has no chance. We all respect Mount and what they have done. Do you have a hard time knowing there is a realistic chance at a MUC loss and so you play the "pretend victim" to feel better?

And what has happened so dramatically since your post earlier this year?

In my opinion.........

I could certainly see voting WW #1 at the beginning of the season based upon what has already been discussed ad nauseum here.  If I were a voter that is what I would have done.

What I have a harder time understanding is how someone (yes YOU Pat  ;D) can change their vote from Mount to WW based upon performance so far.  WW hasn't played anyone ranked, or maybe even with a winning record.  I am not saying they aren't better, but there is no way you can make that evaluation at this point in the season.  Based upon strength of schedule to date, if you voted Mount #1 at the beginning of the season, they should still be #1.

If you are trying to take a shot at arrogant UWW posters, most everyone would agree it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black...

I've been running the OAC pick-em's for the last 6 years and can guarantee that MUC hasn't been a that big of a dog over that span of time.   Can't remember a situation before that either.

Since Larry Kerhes became head coach in 1986, the MUC losses by more than 13 points are as follows:

1988:  41-27 loss to Denison
1989:  31-7 loss to John Carroll
2003:  24-6 loss to St. John's in Stagg
