I love the interesting post.  The reason for the huge lost to Lacrosse was hugely on the shoulders of me. I didn't show up to play on that one day of my life and they exploited it.  LX was a very good team, but if last year is so important why did they lose to WW this year.  Answer "Cause the past is the past" As for the post that beaver wont get a 100 yards you must be saying that Jacobs will throw for 500 other wise you just had a really good dream.  Tell your Cats that D-Stan #2 loves to fly high with a lot of speed, so they better be able to jump and claw for the ball lol. ;D

Beaver 2 td, Stanley 2td, jimmy 1td
Casey 1td, #29 1tb, and a couple FG's
Sorry that doesn't give you the win, but good luck on Sat

3's..... you're making my point... LAX was a very good team, from the very best conference, with the biggest players and the best receiver in the WIAC and the linebackers that could go sideline to sideline.   Now here we are again... different team from the WIAC, a team that lost by almost 4td's to the team we crushed.  I understand it's a different year, but we're better too... so how is this years WW team so much better than the LAX of last year?  Inquiring minds

Well, I don't think Linfield holding Beaver under 75 yards is any less crazy than UWW holding the 'Cats to 31 or less. We had an easy TD picked off in the endzone and 3 fumbles on good looking drives, and still put up 28 on a really good defense. The only way the 'Cats don't put up 30+ in my opinion is if we have lots of turnovers again. But then again, I don't care if we win 2-0 as long we can get out of this insanely good region.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

In the interest of full disclose, I should admit that he didn't get into the end zone against SJU but we didn't need him to.  Got 35 points without that!!

And desertcat 1,
I'm sure Linfield has the #3 defense.  Must have read the stat sheet wrong!! :D

The John's were # 3 in my book, depends on what stat sheet you look at?  ;)  Not after last Sat. ;)

Amen, brother!! I think I even saw one prediction of 36-19 WW. Right!!!!!!!! If our offense gets held to 19, I'll fly out to WW myself and give the 'Hawks their props.

Again, not to bring up 2004, but go look at the rushing stats from the Stagg Bowl. Much of the defense is back this year.

slide-d-dog-storm,

May I suggest that you go back to page 120 and start with Foss's post.  Foss asked the same question and several posters including myself tried to answer it as best we could. Don't remember you being on the blog around that time.

Good thing rushing is only half our offense.  You guys are only #3 in passing defense in your conference this year.  Boy, you guys have a hard time staying focused in the present!!  Just kidding!!! ;D

Really, I was just kidding!  If my team had won a National Championship last year and my QB really should be playing D-1,  I'd be crowing a little bit too!!  You've earned the bragging rights, for sure!!

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

What kind of support will be coming out to McMinnville this weekend for the 'Hawks?? I'm assuming you're arranging a flight or bus; Or, is everyone on their own?

413,

We know you're kidding. You've been a good sport and provided some great info on your team. Did I read that your QB is breaking a bunch of passing records (and he's still only a junior?) that your current head coach had set back in the day? I'm assuming he's the QB coach? That must be a pretty cool deal.

Thanks.  Anybody know if Three3's played on the LAX team from last year or was he just he kidding?  Us CAT fans are a little slow (kinda like our 5 flat receivers)

Ya, Jake broke Coach Brez's  single season passing record with 2,403 yards.  He also tied his Coaches record of 5 TD passes in a game but was unable to break it cuz by then it was time to take him out so didn't get a chance at 6.  I'm sure the Coach felt like people were thinking he was trying to protect his record but not something Brez would do.  It was at the end of the season and protecting Jake for play-offs was more important.  This is just a few of the records they have broken this year!
