As a die-hard Raiders fan, I would like to offer my congratulations (although they are a bit late) to UWW and all of their fans.  It was a great game--well played and well fought.  You deserved the championship.

Best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season to you and your's.  I wish for safe travels and PEACE for all.

See you next year!!

Go Raiders!!

This from Dec 22 - haven't seen it here so I believe it's still fair game.

From ESPN.com, Gregg Easterbrook's TMQ's "Twelve Days of Christmas", this little tidbit:

"Bonus Obscure College Score of the Week: Wisconsin-Whitewater 38, Mount Union 28 (Division III championship). Located in Whitewater, Wis., this school little-known outside the upper Midwest bustles with 11,000 students. Wisconsin-Whitewater offers a science-business major -- interdisciplinary majors like this may be the next big thing in higher education. The student union has its own separate mission and vision statements."

I think this is a compliment... :-\

Last I heard USC had some pretty high academic standards, yet 2 of their football players were ineligible for their recent bowl game as they didn't pass at least 6 credits last semester. Seems to me that the NCAA needs to focus on that more than a perceived DIII conspiracy.

Will the UWW athletic dept be selling / coordinating Championship apparel, like they did after 2007?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I also hope the bookstore sells the championship footballs that are half white for players' signatures. And also have an event at a basketball game where players sign them and the championship trophy is displayed (like last time).

I'm waiting on NCAA to release the DVD of the game. Looking forward to watching the game again..

I don't know exactly what's planned but the football team will be honored at the Feb. 2nd men's basketball game.  LaCrosse is the opponent and the game starts at 7pm.

Two years ago there were certain items sold at the bookstore, but there was also a sheet pdf'ed that was separate stuff produced by Impact Sports (Madison), through the UWW athletic dept.  I thought the athletic dept also got a few fundraiser bucks out of brokering the deal.  (I bought from both last time - that's why I remember, but this time ... ?)

I saw the bookstore apparel, but I'd just like to know what's all out there before I spend whatever I have left over in my bank account after Christmas .... before my ex-wife takes it.

I would expect that there will be additional items for sale through Impact Sports so I'd suggest taking whatever is left in your bank account and moving it to an account in the Caymen Islands or perhaps Switzerland until it becomes available. ;)
