The olmpics are just a little bit different. Your competing against the WORLD. Raider66, I think it just becomes expected after a while to be at the stagg bowl every year especially if you have had a run like Mount Union has had. Managing expectations must be hard. However in meeting coach Kehres I do not see him as an arrogant coach who brags about winning the titles all the time. He is pretty down to earth and a nice guy.
Hopfully UWW can start a string like Mount Union has had. Where they walk through conference and then walk into the stagg bowl.

Coach Kehres philosophy is simple,

- operate a great system
- attract the best players that are available
- modify the approach to match the talent
-win the conference
- always be humble and respect your opponents
- win the playoffs

More competitive, yes, but the results may not have been much different! ;)

I'd say we all agree on that. Especially in Alliance

BUT! there's always that UMHB one-play scenario we can all cling to.

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I have been contacted by several posters asking about my son so thought I would update you all.  Got wonderful news today that the tumor markers are completely normal after only two rounds! The chemo and A.J. are kicking ass!!!  Such a relief to know that it is working.  He started the 3rd round Monday and he is feeling worse as expected but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now.  Thanks for all the concern and support.  +karma to all in celebration!   ;) :-*

Topic for another board, yes, but congratulations to the powers that are....

the 2010 UWW baseball roster is up! and the Wauwautosa Whip is on it!

Good luck to them starting March 11th and thanks again for clearing some of the Perkins bleachers. Bet that snow hasn't melted yet.   8-)

And they list him as a Junior...

badgerwarhawk

It's possible that is his eligibility year.  Having not played last year he may only be a junior as far as baseball eligibility goes.  He's definitely a senior footballwise.  I don't know how that all works.  But I recall Rob Perry had used his basketball eligibility up and was still able to play one season with the football team.
