I think there should be a vuvuzelu(sp?) giveaway at one of the Warhawk games this year. My personal preference would be against Wesley if we played them in the playoffs again.  :P

Now I understand why your karma is negative.  ;)

BoBo, I agree regarding the top 3.

It looks like Blanchard has spent some time in the weight room as well.

Always nice to have your QB with a chiseled physique -- at least that's what I saw when I first saw that pic.  ;)  Hope he can put a little hurt on them defenders!!

Welcome to the boards and + karma, 93!

I was given this wonderful link on facebook by an ex-Warhawk coach of A.J.'s.  Wanted to share it with all of you.  So appropriate as players everywhere prepare to take the field the next few weeks.  Here's to, "The Boys of Fall"  Enjoy :)

"They didn't let just anyone in that club
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood
To get to wear that game day jersey down the hall
Kings of the school, man, were the Boys of Fall"

It's slinging mud and dirt and grass
It's I got your number, I got your back
When your backs against the wall
You mess with one man, you got us all"

I've been to Australia a couple times, too!!  ;D  My wife and I prefer New Zealand, but that's another story. Living in Asia has it's perks (no pun intended). Just out of curiosity 02 Warhawk, what requires you to go to there, if I may pry into your personal life? Remember, you can log on to the games at about 3 or 4 am & never miss a beat!! If it's a home game, there's always Penn Atlantic for the streaming video -- away games have the radio broadcast. I do try to use 2 different media players to listen to both, but they are usually grossly out of sync. Enough of this public service announcement.   :D

Sorry, no more talk about non-football things...although, in my defense, after going days without a single post on this board, I really didn't think it was such a bad thing.  ;)

As for pre-season poll, the WIAC probably shapes up to be the same as usual...don't you think?

My wife actually took advantage of the study abroad program while at Whitewater. She went to the Netherlands for a semester and met friends from all over the world. One of her good friends who she met there, who we still keep in touch with, was from France and she ended up marrying a bloke from Australia. So we're going to visit them for a week in OZ in a few months. I'll see what I can do for tuning into the Warhawks games  ;D

I thought you paint from the top down?
This is what future UWW QB's graduates do during their summer careers? Who is he?

Fixed that for you.   ;)

I believe this is the first time ever UWW will be #1 during the season?

As your career counselor, Bill, my advice would be hang on to that day job flipping burgers because you'll never make it in comedy.  Maybe some day you'll get promoted to ASSistant MANager!!  ;)

Based on the preseason poll point counts, UWW got 20 1st's and 5 2nd's (out of 25).

Mt Union got 5 1st's, 19 2nd's ... and 1 3rd.  I'd be curious who slipped in between on that 1 ballot ....  (Would seem like it would have to Linfield or Wesley)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

HScoach

If it was Wesley, the guy is sniffing glue or obviously didn't watch the semi-final last year.  Wesley was not close to being on the same level as Mount.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Wesley has advanced to the D3 semifinal three times since 2005. '05 and 06 vs. Whitewater and 09 vs Mount.

In the three games Wesley was outscored 126 to 20 with the proper shoes or not  :-\

Pat Coleman

I asked the person who voted Wesley 2, Mount Union 3 just out of curiosity and he said that Mount Union without Rocco at quarterback in that game looked mortal.

So the absence of one player makes Wesley KABOOM a better team than Mount.  That's pretty narrow thinking.

Not sure, but it matters more than games played in 2005 and 2006.

Makes sense to me. Remember all those other years when Mount Union lost a bunch of key players and it caused their program to fall back to the pack?

Yeah, me neither.
