BW.....Another factor in getting quality players is that more Illinois players it seems are coming to Whitewater.....I don't know if that is true throughout the conference......but starting 5 or 6 years ago the number of Illinois recruits certainly increased......

I agree with you there Sak.  The number of Illinois students on the UW-WHITEWATER athletic team rosters is significant.  Not just football but across the board.  Not having reciposity with Illinois it amazes me how many of their students do come to our campus, athletes and nonathletes.

It maybe out-of-state tuition for the Illinois boys but we found it to be amazingly affordable and much cheaper than out-of-state price tags at many other public schools.  We only paid a grand or two more a year than we would have paid if he had chosen to go to one of the many CCIW schools that were recruiting my son after they adjusted their published cost way down with, "academic money, wink/wink."  ;)

The transfer rate year in and year out in tremendous me being a transfer from a D-2 minnesota school at one point proves it along with the other guys that are currently on the team.  i know a couple all-americans transferred in probably for different reasons than mine, but we still all came from minnesota D-2 programs from wisconsin being the home state......if i'm not mistaken doesn't Mount kind of have the same thing running for them in Ohio? transfers for whatever the reasons may be from D-1 and other D-2 programs from the around the country?

It seems like recently Mount hasn't had the big time transfer come from a D-1/11 school.  They are doing better competing on the original recruiting phase against such schools.  It is getting harder with the influx of D-11 schools in NE Ohio (Walsh/Malone/Great Lakes/Notre Dame College).

By the way, does Osh Kosh (or the WIAC) stream their games online?  I will not be making the trip, so I was hoping to catch it on the computer.

ya but out-of-state tuition at UWW is more than competetive when you compare it to Illinois public schools and especially the private schools.  Throw in a little academic aid here and there for second and third year athletes who excel in both the classroom and on the field and UWW is a pretty good deal.

Don't know if this has been reported on here yet but I was checking out the North Dakota State board and found what they thought was going to be one of their best incoming transfers has instead decided to go Oshkosh.
