Play 1 year at a d1 school, Or play 2 years at a d3 school and a chance to win 2 national championships. plus he is from the portland area.
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

wow the way you guys talk linfield is the next mount union of the 90's.  but sorry dont think so, but honestly why did elliott transfer to linfield instead of tryin to go to another d1 school.  i never heard of a reason and was wonderin.

I'm sure he will tell all on draft day--He will be getting plenty of TV time, unlike the beaver

there is no doubt in my mined that he was goin to get drafted i was just wonderin why.  I didnt think he redshirted at Utah so i figured he would have been able to take that when he transfered and still had 2 years but i guess i was wrong.
If you wanna be good practice till you get it right, if you wanna be great practice till you cant get it wrong..

sounds like he got hurt at utah then transferred back home to a program he knew he could help bring to the next level.
He did and when he's gone it will be back to the previous level...perennial winning seasons with few playoff wins

WITH FEW PLAY OFF WINS????????????????????????

Hopefully the fierce WW D doesn't hurt the poor guy!  It'd be a shame to ruin your career on the same day you lose the Gagliardi trophy and lose your shot at a second d3 title.

I don't want him to get hurt, but it'd be nice to see him on his back all day throwing ducks.  Really though...look at Peyton Manning vs. Patriots/Steelers D.  Now he has overcome it lately but the past couple years he didn't look as poised as he did against teams like the Texans.  Throwing while you're getting hit isn't as fun as throwing td passes I'm sure.

Before Elliot you guys were as good as St. Norberts.  Powerhouses in a chump league.(A little better than that, but nothing close to where you are with the Butcher)

Tez18,

Should I tell them or do you want to clue them in as to what else the Acropolis has to offer besides great steaks and excellent Gyros? ??? at great prices?
The Acrop has good beer. Can you say got milk?

Eagle, sounds like you need a refresher course.  We were national champs in 82, 84 & 86 in the NAIA before getting to join the NCAA III.  Let me know if St Norbert has sniffed 3 national titles....

I heard that Linfield College has fat chicks mud wrestling crazed farm animals and midgets to raise money for Blake Elliots tuition!

Is there any truth to this?

Nope, not true. It's against NCAA Regs.

Are you kidding me about getting TV time? Who do you think this kid is Alex Smith ;) some of the best players to leave a D2 school never get TV time, and please dont say he will be in New York on draft day. That would make me cry laughing. He will get drafted and i think he will do well, but the question that warhawkx brought to the table is valid.  I know that if i start at a D1 school i am not going to give up that atmosphere for the opportunity to win a D3 Stagg Bowl, lets be real here.

Why compare him to a beaver? We have never talked about the him ever making it to the NFL, but i bet you Elliot cant compare as an athlete to Derek Stanley.  Watch the game and then talk about an NFL prospect.

OH Derek dont let me down lol. ;D

The atmosphere? Ever been to Salt Lake City? What is good for you isn't good for someone else. Linfields "atmosphere" is just fine.
