We've had a pretty good following for our Saturday morning radio show "Western Wisconsin Sports Saturday" among WIAC posters. Of course, the show features your friend and mine, the famous in his own mind, the amazing, stoutguy.

Well, the show kicks off the season today, on a Thursday, along with the high school football season at the Gridiron Classic.

Normally the show is on Saturday mornings from 8-10, but today it will originate from Williams stadium from 3-5pm.

Along with hearing stoutguy for 2 hours, :P I'm scheduled to be interviewed around 3:20. I'll make sure to give a shout out to the D3football.com crowd.  You can listen at http://wmeq.com/main.html unless you have something better to do, which you should.  ;D

Hope things work out well and this is his final stop!

Falling down the college football food chain I see. Hopefully he can be the next Troney.

See it's that "thought the better of it" chromosome I'm missing that gets me in trouble from time to time...  ;D

I am open to requests! I could try to do a weekly AROUND THE WIAC feature with at least a couple of notables for each team regarding their last game, their next game, or general "status of the team" thoughts.  If that is something that would fill a general void for WIAC fans or would widen the scope of the participation on the WIAC board, it would be a worthwhile venture!

Perhaps I should use a different blog for the WIAC stuff so ya'll don't have to get that sinking feeling of watching UW-W come out of the locker room every time you go to get info on conference teams!  ;D

Anyone know if Whitewater plans on doing anything to recognize the 2009 team prior to the game next Saturday? i.e. hoist up another flag in the south endzone? If so I'll be sure to try to wrap up our tailgating a little early to watch it.
