UWOK came to play yesterday, hope they do that next week against MUC! Hats off to them on a good game. Hard to find any team that has as tough of a schedule as playing the 2 teams that have one the last 5 Championships plus another top 10 team.
30 IIAC Championships
20 Division III Playoff Appearances

Well we have some surprises, those being WW gains 2 more first place votes and the second being Steven's Point dropping out of the Top 25. Though I expected them to drop down to near the bottom I didn't think they would fall completely off, even barely.

I think only Monmouth, who lost big to Wartburg, dropped farther down in the poll. Even Oshkosh picked up their first 9 votes in losing to Central.  You'd think they would've taken 9 votes from Central, but they only lost 1. A similar performance vs Mount might vault the Titans into the top 25!!   ;)   ::)

Curious if everyone from your family made it to the game Saturday.

If 'skosh comes within 6 points of Mount, I'd vote 'em top 20 even with an 0-2 record! ;D

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes and karma boosts from some of my favorite men, GHC, 68, BoBo, BW and even roocu, all the way from the lone star state.  I cherish all the friends I have made on this site over the years!  Good luck this season to the Cat's, Raiders and Crusaders!   You know what they say about, "assuming," GHC.   It was cupcakes and Bloody Mary's.  ;) Not much of a beer fan and yes, D.O.C., everyone made it to my birthday tailgate.  My older son and daughter-in-law, my daughter and A.J. and his lovely fiancee.  Got engaged in June after being together for 7 years.  He was a little late because he is the DC for a local HS in Janesville and they had practice but everyone loved seeing him happy, healthy and cancer free. He will be monitored very closely for a few years.  We are blessed.

Totally agree, Mr. Ypsi, but ain't happening considering it took the Warhawks 5 attempts to come that close to the Mount.   ;)  But, hey, I am seriously rooting for the Titans.  Takes some serious kohona's to tackle that pre-season lineup and they did themselves proud last weekend already.

The Mount Union vs. UW- Oskosh game is somewhat a mystery not because of the Titans who just played a great game away and came up short, but because many are unsure about this year's Raider team.

With a new QB and other positions to fill, the Raiders on paper look to be just a maybe decent team. The difference however, is that they typically have a reasonalby good opener and have Coach Kehres ability to take a teeam with high graduation losses and raise it up within a short time.

HScoach has the spread at +17.5, wonder how many will take that or think about the Raiders as an unknown against a team that is playing its second game and scored 4 TD's! :-X

I know it's a new year, but UW-O will have to be REALLY IMPROVED to stay competitive in their game against Mount. UW-O was last in the WIAC in both rushing defense and in sacking the QB last year.  Without huge improvement, Mount will likely score near 50.

I know it's a new year for Mount, too.  However, we all know what "decent" means at Mount:

Good year = National Championship
Down year = Runner Up
;)

I hope UW-O hangs, but it's hard to picture.

The highly anticipated arrival of DE Tyler Weshphal for the Titan defense appears to have gotten off to a slow start -- 0 tackles, 1 pass break up.  I have to think, common wisdom was expecting more than that from the former highly touted D1 transfer.  :-\
