 I just love newbie's!   ;) :-*

Seriously, Welcome Gentlemen.  It is always great having new blood on the boards even if you think it's organizational layout is lacking.   :)

Just thinking about that puts me in the Reminiscing mood.

Ahhhh, one of my all time favorite bands, BoBo!  How did you know?  You are too good to me~   :-*

I hate Bye week! No excuse not to do yardwork......... :P
And, ya BDB, kitty is pretty disturbing.

I'm clairvoyant on most things of importance (except when it comes to pickem contests!!)..9.9 times out of 10 a Gino Vannelli fan is also a fan of the Little River Band! ;)

Interesting note from the Pink Bowl in Stevens Point - one of the beneficiaries of the game is the Bill Schroeder's Circle of Friends Foundation. There was a reason his name was mentioned so prominently this past week on this message board.  ;)   ;D

A former Warhawk will get the victory today...that's my prediction!!  ;)

Stevens Point vs Albion Highlights (?) of the first pink football game, as it was billed.

BORING WARNING: The first 1:50 are watching the Pointers in calisthenics, THEN 7 offensive plays by the Pointers, including 1 fumble and 1 TD (and some nice gang tackling by Albion), 1 quick photo op of the team, then 3 minutes of interviews.

I'm in awe of BoBo. I am (was) a fan of both Gino Vannelli and LRB.

So safe to say there's no play of the week candidates?

UWSP is holding the first (annual?) Pink football game this Saturday against Albion to raise money for cancer.

Here's a video about it:

Well, that was hard for me to watch, seeing a young man talk about getting re-diagnosed with cancer. A terrific cause and effort by Coach Miech and the Pointers.  Would love to see the game and the team wearing pink!  Can you post an address that I can use to send a donation, Special?

I'm not aware of any money being raised online (I don't remember seeing a fund raising link on Point's website) but I'm sure that you could contact coach Miech at jmiech@uwsp.edu or Point's AD Frank O'Brien at fobrien@uwsp.edu.

HERE's a story about the game with a video showing some highlights and post game coverage.  I know they raised $20,400 and former Pointer and Pittsburgh Steeler Clint Kriewaldt was there, as was Former Packer Bill Schroeder.

Storm delays K-State/UCF. Looks like Independence Day (or the Wizard of Oz)

Arlin Frank.  He was a heck of a player.

what's the name of the OG that played around the same time about 6 ft 300lb  was it shulenburg or something like that.  Man I hated playing D aginst RF back then.  OL coming out in a 4 point stance. Playing D line sucked on those days.

Don't know but their lines were good, as were their fullbacks.  That was during the era Point played the 8 year seniors.  Let's just say the Governor of California isn't the only one who liked juice with his breakfast.

Thanks, PS.  I will send a donation off to Coach Miech in the morning.  Coincidentally, my son has a check up tomorrow. He is being monitored pretty closely for a few years.   Maybe everyone can say a few prayers/good thoughts if you think about it.    :-*
