He is always in our prayers.......nothing like those 3-6 month spot checks to cause the blood pressure to rise......See you at the Perk after high school football dies down.....Pound the Rock......Can anyone ever remember a better tandem of running backs in D3 than the Warhawks this year?......

The UW-Whitewater/KOOL 106.5 broadcast of this Thursday evening's UWW at UW-Platteville football game will be simulcast LIVE on
540 am ESPN-Milwaukee and 100.5 ESPN-Madison.

I am in the process of putting together a halftime feature on what the listeners in the Milwaukee and Madison area, unfamiliar with WIAC and UW-Whitewater football, should know about the defending NCAA Division III football program and reasons it should get more exposure in the two largest metro areas of Wisconsin.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks, Sakman.  He has to have his bloodwork done every 2 months for the first 2 years.  That is a lot of blood pressure rises and it's going to be a looong 2 years. But like your son, he is going to be fine.  See you at the Perk, soon I hope.  :-*

If you feel like mentioning D3football.com that would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps that we rank the WIAC as the No. 1 conference in Division III football. :)

Pat - Will do.  I often mention D3football.com both on our Warhawk broadcasts and on the Warhawkfootball.com Website.  The more fans or potential Division III fans click onto your Website, the more educated they will become in reference to Division III football.

Looking forward on listening to the game on the way home from work this thursday. Never thought i would get the chance on listening to the game while stuck in traffic in the middle of the week.

Saw your blog postings about the players that hail from those two areas.  Mentioning standouts from the past - Jeff Donovan (Tosa), Anthony White (Riverside), Ben Farley (Brook East) and seguing to the current - Lane Olson (Racine Horlick), Mark Gawronski (NB Eisenhower), Wesley Hicks (Vincent) and perhaps including conferences because they stretch across basically all in the Milw area.  Woodland, Southeast, Greater Metro, North Shore, City, Classic 8.  Not as familiar with the Madison side, but considering the quantity from that area I would guess a similar broad-brush occurs.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

413 - I don't know the situation with your son, but I hope every two months brings you a little more peace of mind.

What about LaCrosse???

Thanks so much, fanowiac.  You aren't familiar with his story because you are new to the boards but it isn't a secret. He went public with his fight last year to raise awareness for testicular cancer.  18-32 is the age group most at risk for TC but it is highly curable if caught early.  Knocked out his toughest opponent ever and is now cancer free!

Was at AJ's fundraiser and have been praying for him (and you and his whole family!) ever since!  I'm so encouraged how he has fought this and how well he is doing. He means so much to all of us!

What about LaCrosse???

From reading their game stories, the Eagles have a problem that has plagued them in all 3 losses - finishing. Once again this week, they gave up a lead then had a chance to tie or go ahead in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter but failed to score.

Being a placekicker is a tough occupation. Case-in-point, Saints playoff hero Garrett Hartley on Sunday.  The same kicker who set a Super Bowl record with three field goals longer than 40 yards, Hartley hooked a routine, chip shot 29 yard FG attempt in OT wide left from the right hash mark that would've kept New Orleans unbeaten. Atlanta went on to win 27-24. The Saints are looking to replace him - what have you done for me lately, Mr. Hartley?  ;)

Thanks BP, Sorry to bring it all up again but the UW-STP fundraiser hit a little close to home, I guess.  If his story can continue to remind young men to be ever vigilant than it is all good.  We will never ever forget the outpouring of love and support we felt from the Warhawk family.
Now about the Eagles, that problem has plagued them for a few years...........
(picture me with a BIG grin on my face remembering the highlights from the 07 comeback game!) ;) ;D
