Linfield posters,

Thank you so much for your arrogance the past several days.  It has made some great bulletin board material.  Lets rock! (as in pound the rock!)

Voice,

If our postings are used at "bulletin board" material then Whitewater is done.  It's the freaking West Regional finals and players are going to up for a game because of what stupid fans (including me) write on a posting board?  Get real.

BTW, you're welcome!

Put this on your bulletin board: Your QB will wish he played a real sport like tennis after Saturday.  And...and...and...he throws like a girl.

Own you.

Linfield was averaging between 40-50 points per game the two years before Elliott arrived so they would be just fine.

Here's hoping you guys send these one-win wonders (Linfield) packing tomorrow.  To read all the Jr High hype on this board you'd think it was all over, but that's why we play the game. You gotta beat the Champ to be the Champ, and the numbers say you are hands down the best team they have seen in the past four years. Here's hoping for an all purple with no red Stagg Bowl
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Looking forward to tomorrow's game. I have no doubt that tomorrow's winner will eventually make an awesome match with Mt. Union in the final. I guess I'll be the first reasonably mature one on the board: May the best team win!

Ok, ok, ok...Yes cats, we know your QB is by far and away the best in Division III and I know this message will be so outlandish that some of you Cat lovers may just want to reply sarcastically. But what does your squad have to offer if Elliot gets shut down(God Forbid)? Do the Running Backs have what it takes to pick up any slack? Did they play a defense that could challenge their passing attack?
I just think Whitewater has a more complete offense. Beaver does shoulder a big load, but if he's having a tough time finding openings then they counter with a strike downfield.  Point and case the game vs. UW-Oshkosh. Here's the scoring summary.
1st 03:36 UWW - Jim Leszczynski 42 yd pass from Justin Jacobs
2nd 14:18 UWW - Derek Stanley 10 yd pass from Justin Jacobs
07:11 UWW - Derek Stanley 18 yd pass from Justin Jacobs
01:00 UWO - Nick Kilton 51 yd pass from Joe Patek
3rd 08:27 UWW - Jim Leszczynski 19 yd pass from Justin Jacobs
4th 09:41 UWW - Derek Brown safety
07:43 UWW - Derek Stanley 58 yd pass from Justin Jacobs

Every touchdown was a pass, Beaver rushed for 162 but didn't get across the Goal Line.

So can Linfield pick it up if Brett has a poor game?

It was a nice read on Whitewater and the WIAC by Pat.  It's kind of like the teams that have won the National Championship only know.  They know what it's really like to be the champs.  It's somewhat a similar feeling when you play in the WIAC, you are the only ones who really know what it's like week in and week out to play a team that has a chance to beat you.  I don't know if SJU, MUC or our good friends of the week, Linfield can honestly say that.  Sure, they have a team or two that may give them a good game but not during the whole season.  Those schools too, I must also say, are probably at least a half a step above any other team in DIII in general as of late.  I really hope for the sake of the WIAC that Whitewater wins.  The monkey is getting heavy and seems to be turning into a gorrilla.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

All of you Cat fans humor me for a sec. Do you think if you had a normal D3 football QB you would stand a chance against a dominate WW?
Three3s
Elliot is a D1 QB who happens to be playing D3. The NCAA allows that if he is enrolled at a D3 school. Remember a couple years ago when a QB named Mathews came sooo close. Another Elliot beat the cats on their way to the stagg bowl championship.

Tuxguy, you're not answering 3's question?  You made reference to previous years, and that's not really the point.  I believe that his point was, do you think Linfield would stand a chance THIS YEAR against a dominate UWW team?

Referring to the past doesn't settle this score.
You must have skipped over Tez post. We have one of the best D3 QB's sitting on the bench waiting to take over. :P

three3s,

Regarding the 'Cats team minus Elliott, maybe you and everyone else who has brought this up should ask yourselves what he had to do with holding Stevens Point to a single score this season or with La Crosse being shut down last year at the Catdome. How about his role in the La Crosse QB falling to the turf intentionally in the 4th quarter last year to avoid being busted up? I'd say he had nothing to do with all of the above. The 'Cats will prove yet again tomorrow that the team is so much more than just Brett Elliott.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Dude . . . Oxy has seen Elliot and the 'Cats the last two years in a row.  Could WW win this game?  Perhaps . . . but dude, I gotta tell you, there is no way on god's green earth that Elliot is gonna get shut down . . . aint' gonna happen, no ifs, no ands, no buts . . . he and his receiving corp are simply too good . . . WW will have to find another way . . . I don't think WW has seen an attack like this . . . but hey, anything can happen on any given Saturday . . . good luck . . . you'll need it . . . maybe we'll get to see you next year.   ;)
