Good start for UWW in the regional rankings, weren't they fourth or fifth last year in the first publishing? Should easily move by St. Thomas by the end of the year, and as others have said the selection comittee won't leave UMU and UWW out of regional seeds.

If UW-W and Mount win out, I believe they will both be number 1 seeds.  I know the Selection Committee (different than the Regional Ranking Committees) has leeway in selecting the field and building the brackets. Until someone takes down Mount or UW-W on the field, I don't see either of them being anything other than a #1 in an undefeated season.  ;)

It'd be shocking if they didn't end up as #1 seeds. The Selection Committee has used leeway with the regional rankings, and the final regional ranking (by regional committee) is not published either I believe. To put a CCIW or MIAC team above either as a #1 would seem highly unlikely until either conference wins against those two in the post-season. Actually, any conference for that matter, since what, 2004 ???

I remember, not that long ago, people on this board scoffed at using history to make such arguements. Glad to see that you've now embraced it when it benefits you. The worm has turned hasn't it? ;)

In all reality, UWW is now firmly in the same place UMU has been for many years when it comes to the regional rankings and any dialogue about post season placement and seedings.   Frankly, it is a position those of us who are UWW fans should relish.  It is a sign of success   ;D.

Using what the Selection Committee has done in the past few years to predict what the committee might do in the future and speculating what will happen, IF the Warhawks win out is a little different than a programs fans saying, "we are great and will win because we have been great and won so much before, "  IMHO.  But love the dig, retagent.  Based on past history, I could have predicted it.     Just having a little fun with ya!  :-* ;)  ;D

If you are planning a trip to the Perk on Sat, come over to my tailgate and I'll make it up to you with a beer or two.

Thanks for the invite. I plan to be there for the game with my friend who has the tickets. I'll look for you. I'll probably wear my SJU hat just to stand out.

It's an enviable position to be in, and having others take shots at you because of your success. I admit liking to take the shots, but it's out of respect now. Hope to see you there. Will there be the extreme numbers that were there for family day?

I'll keep a look out for a red hat...shouldn't be hard to spot among a sea of purple and yellow. I don't think it'll get crazy like family day, maybe around 6,000-7,000.

Perhaps the Hawks will get more than 25 words in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel sports section this weekend now that the Badgers are off. It seems like the Madison paper pays attention but the D3 teams are largely ingnored in the Milwaukee one.

Just a few weeks ago it was high 90's for Family Day, and now we are in the 40's....

The rankings are just as silly as the BCS nonsense. At least here in D3 even the lowest seed has a chance to play for the title. Me, I don't care about the rank as long as your team gets in the dance. Make the Hawks an 8 seed, no difference. They have to play them now or later to win the title either way.

no surprise...the JS doesn't even get the games right. According to them, UWW played Stout last weekend.

You can find my tailgate on the boulevard that runs along the road in front of the stadium.  I'll be the one wearing a black Warhawks jersey with #33 on it.   ;)

I understand what you are saying but give me the #1 seed and home field advantage throughout a play-off run any day of the week.  ;)

If Mount and UWW win out, they will have brackets built around them. The South is probably set also.

What is in question is how the committee decides to designate the brackets. If Mount is in a geographic bracket that is "East" in nature, and UWW is in one "North" in nature. UST (as it stands now) will be a #1. If UWW is west, NCC could be #1. There are other permutations, but it's a lead pipe cinch that UWW and Mount rule the roost.
