There's a good story about AJ and Booker on the D3football home page. Talks about overcoming adversity, and taking advantage of opportunities presented to you.

Very inspiring column.
Can't read it without the floodgates opening.  Two young men who faced life altering adversity, one of his own making, one who just drew the short straw in life, sharing how they, "tackled," it, learned from it and prevailed over it.  I am a very proud and grateful mom!!   :)

It's going on 9 years ago about this time of year that my wife and I brought our son to Whitewater for a campus visit.....C oach Brez and Coach Z showed us around with this skinny QB and his folks from Sun Prairie.....as we got in our car for the trip home my son simply said "this is where I am going to school."It turned out to be one of the best decisions he/we ever made. Never experienced winning a National Championship but got there twice and set the groundwork for what is happening now. Just read the article on A.J. and Stanley and it is simply a great read and made me think how lucky we were to experience all this then and now......Pound the Rock boys this weekend because it's LaCrosse and we really don't like LaCrosse.....

UW-RF will close there coaching search on November 29 with hope of having a coach before Coach O'Grady is done on Dec. 31

Nicely said, Sakman.  I wonder if the younger players have the same feeling of, "dislike," for the Eagles as many of the old timers do considering they have not been as competitive games, for the most part the last several seasons!  Losing the conference championship to them in the final game of the season in 03 and 04 and getting our butts kicked for the better part of the 07 game..........well, ya, I agree,  "we really don't like La Crosse."   ;D
And our boys better come prepared to play!

LaCrosse has been doing several things better in their last two games both of which have been wins.  One thing that jumps out when you look at the stats is the turnover margin.  With two exceptions, Mary-Hardin Baylor (0-4) and Stevens Point (2-4), they turned the ball over more often than they took it away in their losses.  It was 5-0  against East Texas Baptist, 2-0 against Missouri S&T, 3-1 against Oshkosh and  5-1 against Platteville.  In all three wins they have reversed the trend  going 4-0 against River Falls and gaining a 9-1 advantage in the past two games against Stout and Eau Claire.

Taking care of the ball is one thing the WARHAWKS have done exceptionally well with only 5 turnovers (all fumbles) on the season.

I've seen stats from the NFL that indicate a team turning the ball over 3 times in a game loses 68% of the time and the percentage worsens significantly with 4 or more.  You just can't win giving your opponent that many extra possessions.

I don't like LaCrosse.

bw, they had no where to go but up!!

My crystal ball ball shows UWW winning the TO battle 4-0 and the score - rivaling last years blowout - only LaX doesn't put up 21!!  ;)

I'd say slim to none.  I think Z is pretty settled in Dubuque.
If the rumor circulating is true he'll be adding a new coach to his staff.

Has anyone mentioned that we at UW-W do not like LaCrosse?

A look at the rivalry through the lense of history.
