I would be very surprised to see NCC lose before facing UWW. I wouldn't have said that in any of the playoff years before this one but this NCC team has a championship caliber defense and special teams. The only question I have for them is on offense where I am not sure they have enough playmakers to compete w UWW. Unless someone can tell me ONU's defense is as good as UWW's or UMU's then I don't see NCC losing until they face a defense that can match theirs.

ONU is a very solid team.  Plays hard and smart, but they're lacking playmakers on both sides of the ball.  Give them a few of Mount's receivers and they'd be dangerous.

And their defense isn't as good as Mount's, even this year when MTU only has 3 starters back from the '09 defense.  Their D is pretty good, but Mount's inexperienced line did just fine against them even though it was week 4 when they played.

The OAC has produced some great 2nd place teams that were every bit as talented as Mount (ONU in the late 90's, Capital in '05/'06), but this ONU team isn't one of them.  They're a good team that won't be an easy out in the playoffs, but IMHO they wouldn't scare UWW or Mount.  Whether they have enough to scare NCC is left to be seen.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Does anyone know if there will be any activity on the pavilion outside of the Perk before the game on Saturday?  In previous years during the playoffs they've had big containers of hot soup - first come, first served.  Looks like a chilly day coming - so every little bit helps!
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

they've had something going on there every home game this year I believe. I imagine that they wouldn't stop now that the playoffs are here. but what I don't know is what they charge...if they charge at all.

I think for playoffs, the pavilion action has been covered by sponsors and was FOC for schlubs like me.

It wasn't too long ago when I was able to go there and get a free beer and a hot dog.  I loved that pavilion!

I guess the same person can't be all-conference at two different positions? hence Jenkins not being recognized for Punter...

I think there is an effort to spread the accolades among schools...for example, is there any doubt that Greg Arnold is not one of the best linebackers in the league?

yea probably, but Jenkins is going to get all-american honors for punting...but isn't recognized in his own conference.

I really have no complaints with the list as far as UWW athletes go....they seem well represented. the bigger prize is still at-large though  ;)

Louissant Minett? Led conference in sacks, third in tackles for loss (tie), first in forced fumbles (tie) - conference games only...no mention anywhere. One freshman position player on 2nd team (1 kicker too); Minett deserves to be somewhere, IMHO.

I guess he's only a freshman, so his day will come...but watching him play, it was easy to see there wasn't an offensive tackle who could consistently block him during the conference season...in fact, after 2 steps, he was usually past the guy responsible for him.
