If there are people looking to make the trip and flying, in addition to considering flying into Philadelphia, also consider Baltimore (airport code BWI) and Washington (DCA). You could also try Washington Dulles (IAD) but that's on the other side of town and would add 45 minutes, minimum, to your drive time.

Just to verify, the Wesley/UWW game is at 11:00 central time, correct?

I don't think the UWW site is correct..they are showing it at 1:00 in one spot, and noon in another.

I understand the point he's making...just a lot of over analysis of a very simple concept, IMO. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter - that was my point!!  ;)
And then again, without this..............we'd all need a new hobby!   ;D

Didn't mean to make is sound like I was explaining something to you, BoBo.   You run circles around me in the, "football knowledge," arena.  ;) :-*

Rethinking my post afterward, I realized that it was a little dyslexic.  On the one hand, I started out validating his premise and then on the other hand, I pointed out that the premise is commonly used to minimize the effects of a great defense.  And I hate when that happens!    >:(

If dyslexia IS an issue, at least it wouldn't have affected you trying to keep track of your son on the football field!  ;D

With the talk of the Jerry Kill to Minnesota rumor, when do the yearly rumors of:

Lance Leipold to _______________ rumors start?  ;)

You mean like this? this doesn't look too credible though....

Nebraska.

Gotta love a blogger who shows himself (I'm assuming it's the blogger, or it's REALLY a strange blog), coming out of a trap!

footballfan413, is the mad boar a chain restaurant?  we used to go to one in myrtle beach and loved it.  has a great beer selection as i love microbrew beer.  and i enjoyed watching your son play, very tough and classy player.

It looks like he was a DB at Whitewater and ended up as a running backs coach in Denver with a few years in Chicago, New York and Buffalo before that.  Anyone posters play with him?

Thank you for the kind words about my son, Dad.  It was one hell of a ride!! The Boar is just a family owned bar in Whitewater but we love it because the TV viewing is the best with a couple of nice size flat screens that we can see well from the bar or booth in front of them. We have made friends with the owner over the years and he and his mother treat us really well!   ;)

Judging from his resume, it seems that he likely played with Coach Leipold.
2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 NCAA Division 3 Champions.
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 WIAC Champions.

footballfan413, thanks for the info.  from my perspective it is never bad to be on a first name basis with the owner of the bar you frequent.  we go to a local micro brew here in pa and knowing the owners and brewers makes it more fun every time we go in.  eventhough i cheered for the warhawks in the stagg after they spanked my sons team, he caught the only td in the o6 game, i cant do it this time around this week, i am sure you understand.  :D

Congrats to Eric, he is a great guy.  I can't pretend to know all that is behind the scenes in Denver, but I sure hope they give Eric every chance to make this work.

Yes, some of us posters did play with Eric, and by extension, he did play with coach LL.  I think Eric's last football year was 1987 or 1988.

4)  The UWW O-Line just flat wears defenses down and Coppage is a workhorse

I love to hear my guys praised.  JUst as long as it doesn't go to their heads!!  We need to play well this weekend.  The weather is windy and cold in Delaware!!  I'm afraid to come as I usually see you play either on the computer or at the STAGG Bowl and don't want to jinx anything!!!  I'll be baking up a storm, however.  I'm planning to attend both the Gagliardi banquet and the team luncheon and want to sit with you guys again.  Let's keep a good thing going!!!  Oh, and #66, where are my copies of the pictures from last year?

FF413, you know it's high time to celebrate by making the trip BACK to Salem.  We do miss you and your family BIG TIME down here in Stagg Bowl Land!!  It seems like forever since I've seen you'all!!!  But if you must celebrate in Whitewater (I'm coming there one day!!!), have a drink for me, please!!!!

LET'S GO OOOOOOOs  I WANT HOLES THAT A GRANDMA CAN RIDE THRU IN A WHEELCHAIR!! WE DON'T WANT COPPAGE TO GET TIRED, DO WE?????
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

413,

Just reading all the posts on the South region and here in the WIAC, the UWW faithful is obviously pumped up early in the week for Wesley. IMHO, HScoach's spread appears to realistic and UWW winning by a TD.

Given the distance from Wisc. to Delaware, how many UWW people do you think will make the trip?

Great posts by the way! +k :)
Thanks, 68.  That helps make up for the ones I lost over there.  ;) I don't really know since I quit traveling with the team after 07 but go to all the home games, if possible. Damn the committee for robbing me of one more tailgate in the snow.  The boys have a loyal following though so despite the distance, I'd expect the number to be respectable. Probably too far for a fan bus, however.  Anyone know about that possibility?

I know that Eau Claire brought a fan bus to Rowan for the semis is 1998. Glassboro is only about an hour and half from Dover. Probably take about 16 hours straight from Janesville. The Blugold fans looked pretty drained when they got off the bus, then had to ride back right after the game after a last second loss.
