Yeah.  BOOM - shaka laka, selection committee.

You know that the Trine game and the NC game were much competitive than their overall number 1 seed .... (IMHO)

I would agree to some level of qualifier based upon the injuries and arrestees - but the fact remains.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Congratulations to UWW and the WIAC....

Question: with no DII or IAA football in Wisconsin is it time that the WIAC goes DII?

With WIAC member schools having the facilites, the players (a large # of players have reached the nfl) and great success at the DIII level--would the WIAC want to make such a move?

I look at Michigan for example--great DII conference and a good DIII conference... I believe the same could happen for the WIAC schools ( Think Central-Western--Eastern Michigan all were DII and moved up---Hillsdale was NAIA and moved to DII)

Thoughts?

Not going to happen...period (IMO).

CONGRATULATIONS WARHAWKS!

The Hawks line play showed dominance on both sides of the ball. Gave Brekke time all day. Opened enough holes for Coppage to get 146 on 5.4 ypc.

The defense swarmed to the ball.  Held Wesley to -7 yards rushing, 4 sacks, and 5 picks!

Brekke made some great throws, but there were a few I'm sure he'd like to have back.

I thought Wesley gave good effort. They simply are not at the UW-W level yet. The game should have been at the Perk, UW-W has earned that.  But on the road, good weather, against the #1 overall seed, the Hawks left NO DOUBT!

On to the Mount. GO WARHAWKS!

A move to D2 isn't a step up, it's a change in philosophy. One that WIAC has little to no interest in.

UWW has taken out 2 #1 seeds on the road. All that's left is a lower ranked #1 seed that hasn't been tested. should be a cakewalk right? Salem is virtually a homegame now!  ;D

Wenger or Mayes?

NCC or Trine or Wesley?

Why does this announcer keep saying "...trying to keep Wesley in the game..."  They're out of it, thank you!!

Because that's what a neutral broadcaster does. Sorry if you're used to something less neutral. :)

Well, that didn't take long.   ;)

And by the way, I would take Keith's word for it on what Wesley might have been able to do to stretch the field for four reasons:

1) He's a neutral party.
2) He played defensive back at the D-III level, and with success.
3) He's seen Wesley play in person this year before today.
4) He's seen Whitewater play in person this year before today.

Few of you can say you have all four, most can't even say you have two. So, sorry if the non-homer broadcast was a bother but that's what an honest assessment looks like.

Since we're in Wisconsin, you should be able to find some cheese to serve with that whine. You couldn't even get the "Monkey Stomp". And you call yourselves a football team. "

I figure there may be a couple people who played DB too.

Hello to Warhawk nation from McGlynns Pub in disappointed Delaware. Great game played by the Hawks today. The players and coaches were all business, during and after the game.
Let's get a huge turnout for Stagg 6.

wesleydad

first thing, you were right and i was wrong.  what i saw today was a very good defense - uww, a good defense - wesley, a good offense - uww, and a poor offense - wesley.  that is why i usually dont put much into stats.  uww d line controlled the line of scrimmage and that was it.  5 ints will not win many games, certainly not against a uww.  the d is quick and physical and wesley had no answer.  up 7 - 3, then only down 10 - 7 at half in a very fun game to watch.  adjustments made, well at least by 3 units, and 27 - 7 final.  it has been discussed on our site that when you get to the semis and only get 7, 6, 7, and 7 again today that something has to change.  the defense is certainly good enough, but the offense is not.  there was some second guessing on some of the play calls early in the third, mainly the 2 and 1 with the ball at the 39 call that led to a sack followed by an interception.  as some of you stated, until wesley shows they can score against either uww or mount, all the other stuff doesnt really matter.  i felt that uww was the best team in the country and after today nothing i saw will change my mind.  another stagg with mount, i will be there enjoying it again.  congrats again on the win and good luck next week, i think it will be a good one.

wesleydad

emma, hope you enjoy mcglynns.  nice place.  safe travels back to wisconsin.  find me next week at the stagg I will have a wesley jersey on and be hanging with stone station.  good luck next week.
