Wishing all my best buddies on PP a very Happy and Healthy New Year!  Woke up this morning to a 61 degree house and a furnace that seems to think that 2010 was the last year it had to work!  Great timing as the temp dropped from 51 to 9 overnight!  Determined to fight the feeling that it's a sign that 2011 won't be an improvement!  >:(  Anyway, enjoy the great day of bowl games, Gentlemen, where the results mean absolutely nothing...........   ;)

Yep - 2-5 total (0-5 in 2011).  I'm undecided on which was more galling:

1.  Big 10 vs. SEC - SEC went 3-0 today, by a 138-45 margin.  As obnoxious as SEC fans already were, they may step it up even a notch. :P

2.  Despite what the scoreboard shows, I'm STILL convinced that Penn St. was better than Florida (they were driving for a 31-30 lead when an interception returned EIGHTY yards produced the final margin) and that Wisconsin was better than TCU (no specific play; just a general impression).

One silver lining: it was already known by all that Michigan's defense and special teams sucked.  Today, even their offense (Rich Rod's only claim for staying around) sucked.  I will be truly shocked if any UM coaches still remain after the end of the week.

It is a shame that TCU did not jion the Big East earlier.  If they had, it would have kept UConn (surely the worst team ever to play in the BCS) out of the BCS bowls.  Any team that could only score TEN points on the Michigan defense has no right to even sniff a BCS bowl! :o
