How did Spring drills go for the WIAC teams?

Found out four of UWW's offensive lineman from last season each have one more year of eligibility remaining.... ;D

That's an interesting nugget of news 02, that, if they do return for a final season.  It certainly would change the complexion of what we thought heading into this year!!

Lambuth University, who has recently played Oshkosh and earlier UWW in FB, is closing it's doors for good at the end of June. Scratch one possible NAIA school off the list of future opponents!!  ;)

I watched the 2010 Stagg Bowl yesterday, It's nice to know the majority of those DBs will be returning for the 2011 season....what a game they had in that Stagg Bowl  :o. What was suppose to be the weakness in the 2010 season will be our strength in 2011 I believe.

Plus Overton should be back (I assume) after missing a good part of the 2010 season.

The O-Line will be fine in 2011.  Remember how everyone was concerned about the O-line going into 2009?  Well, same situation.  Have one starter and two with major playing time and a couple that are ready to step in.   With Dinkel pushing them, he will mold them into a very good group.  Everyone will have to wait and see, but I am looking forward to it.

You're absolutely right W'dad. There's a lot of talent there and a number of guys who have played a lot of football, and not just at the end of blowouts, but in some very meaningful games. If there were a few starters returning unexpectedly, as 02 was joking about, that couldn't hurt either.  ;)

As long as Dink is there coaching you don't have to worry about the OLine.....they will be ready and solid for 2011......

This coming week could be a "big" week for some of the D3 standouts in the NFL draft. Good luck to all of them :)

Raider 68, how do you see things shaping up for some of the DIII notables?

BoBo,

For what it is worth, my take for the Draft would be this:

- C. Shorts get drafted in Round 5

- L. Olson gets a call as a free agent

- Wenger from North Central gets a call as a free agent

- K. Miller gets a call from Jacksonville as a long snapper

No doubt they are some others, but these are the ones that I have heard  about the most. Hope all is well over there! +K :)
